Lovely little antique shop. Lots of charm inside and out. The owner is so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He was able to direct us to some local "not to miss" stops.

Dominic the owner of Gatherings Antiques was so kind and friendly- fun place to look for items in the nooks and shelves. He knew Lexington Michigan like the back of his hand. Recommended a business that had just opened- The Henry House. Good small town camaraderie.

Sweet store filled with country and nostalgia items. Love to stop in and wander the rooms. Store owner is a kind, easygoing older gentleman which only adds to the atmosphere.

In the moment that I arrived, I fell in love with the beautiful garden. This shop has an impressive variety of antiques as well as beautiful and intricate quilting. It's fun to browse through all of them. Very nice owner and I will definitely come back to visit again. Good location. Not open Tuesdays. Cash or checks only:) Remember to get ice cream at the corner across the street.

When I visit family in Port Huron I always enjoy a drive up to Lexington, stopping at various antique stores and estate sales along the way. There is usually something new to see and do. This time, Gatherings was a new place to visit. It had a nice, well-tended garden and was rather inviting. Since I was travelling with my pet, I decided to stroll through the garden while my Dad went into the shop. After taking a couple of steps, the owner appeared on the porch yelling at me to leave as she is highly allergic to dogs. She said that there were signs posted to inform the public of this. She pointed to one, which was not facing the entrance. It was about waist level and small to the left of the entrance area - not where most would be looking as you head toward the shop. As I turned to leave, she continued to yell at me and repeat that she was allergic to dogs. There is most certainly a more appropriate and polite way of informing the public of a serious medical issue. My Dad reluctantly entered the shop and found her annoyed and blathering about the severity of her condition. She was also adamant that no photos were to be taken anywhere on the premises. Although I did not go in, my Dad said that there was no visible, unique, art that could be 'stolen' and copied. I must say that I was unpleasantly surprised and saddened by such behavior in such a pleasant little town. Of course we did not let this cloud our day. We went directly across the street to enjoy some food and brew in a place that was welcoming and friendly - even to dogs!

We are local, and took a visiting friend there--my first time there. The owner was loudly yelling out her rules as you entered---'No photos' along with other rules. I understand she has a lot of unique items with sayings on them that she does not want people to copy, but it was a rude way to get her message out. Have not been back.

This store is not customer friendly! I don't like being greeted at the door with rules on what I can and cannot do. No I won't take pictures or use a cell phone and the other thing I won't do is BUY ANYTHING!
