Customer service is always friendly, and the store is clean and efficient — you’re in and out quickly. However, the pricing practices are frustrating enough to warrant a 1-star review. Anytime I need to ship or return something not related to Amazon, the charges seem inflated and inconsistent. A return that should cost $6 somehow turns into $15, even for a small piece of paper or a tiny package. It feels like services are being upsold unnecessarily, with rules made up on the spot with the owner Dan encouraging it.
As someone in sales, I respect making a profit — but this feels ethically wrong. I’ve started avoiding this location altogether and now either go to a different UPS store or straight to the post office.

I recently called to renew my mailbox service and was told that my payment could not be accepted due to my driver’s license being expired. I was informed that I needed to verify my identity before renewing. I politely explained that I had already gone through the identity verification process just three months ago, along with a second form of identification.
I asked why I was being required to repeat this process again so soon. The store owner/manager stated that it is postal service policy and that it is outlined in my contract. I then requested a copy of this contract to be placed in my mailbox for review, since when I contacted the postal service directly, they had no knowledge of the policy being referenced.
At this point, the store owner became combative, began to talk over me, and ultimately told me he was just going to close my mailbox—then hung up on me. This behavior was extremely unprofessional and disappointing.
After being a paying customer for six years, I find this treatment unacceptable. I no longer wish to be associated with a business that does not value its customers and behaves in such an unprofessional and disrespectful manner. I urge others to be cautious and inquire thoroughly before doing business here to avoid a similar experience.
It’s disheartening to realize that six years of loyalty and payments went to a business that operates in this way. I truly wish I had known sooner.

Dan, the owner of the UPS store in Livonia off of 5 mile refused to service me today. I had dropped off an Amazon return with a slightly faded shipping label and Dan refused to scan my barcode that I had on my phone. I insisted that it was indeed scannable off my phone, and Dan, the owner of the UPS store in Livonia off of 5 mile refused to service me today. I insisted that it was a one time thing and that I would correct the situation with my printer the next time before returning next time, but Dan continue to say he wouldn’t scan my package and that they would have to charge me two dollars to print off their own label. I asked as a one time courtesy if there was anyway they could waive the fee and they refused. I just don’t understand this mentality of getting charged two dollars for a single page print out when I have the barcode and the Amazon shipping return label on my phone clear as day all they had to do is type it in and accommodate the customer but he refused. Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had, will not never return to this UPS location again and I ended up having to spend the two dollars just to do my return and I was completely appalled.

The staff is nice and helpful, but the store manager is rude and unprofessional. I went to deliver 30 boxes, and the person helping me mistakenly scanned only 27. He was polite and offered to rescan all of them to make sure everything was correct. I said it’s fine as long as all 30 are delivered, and he assured me they would be.At that point, the manager jumped in with a rude attitude, saying, 'Yeah, I don’t want you to scan again anyway,' in a very dismissive tone and with an arrogant look on his face. Totally unprofessional behavior from a manager

This is the best UPS store around. David especially is so great. I do all of my print jobs here and it’s just so easy to email and have it ready for pick up. Whether I am doing a big job or small, David takes such great care and notices every detail.
