“Best place to stay on the island in my opinion. close to all the restaurants and shops and it's on the water with great views.

The service from the staff is also top notch.”

“Harbour View Inn perfected our experience. Conveniently located just a short walk from the docks, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the shopping district to be pleasantly quiet. Porter service to and from the hotel couldn't be easier, as is the check-in/check-out and boat shuttle processes. Our room overlooked the colorful gardens complete with rocking chairs on a full-length shared balcony. The room was neat, clean, roomy, and air conditioned. The varied continental breakfast was fresh and served on ceramic plates. All the amenities and final touches offered make the difference between a stay and an experience. Bravo!!! (Would highly recommend one of their packages.)”

“We have been coming to the island for years and Chippewa has been one of our favorite hotels because of the location, view and room comfort. However, the staff and management are getting less guest focused and more about the money. This is in reference to the hotel and onsite restaurant.”

“Amazing location with updated bathrooms. Had room located with open door to main street which was overall nice when opened with a breeze, but quiet when closed. Location amazing for shopping and central access.”

“A wonderful day spent on the island. Time stands still. No cars only horse drawn carriages or bicycles. Immaculate homes, hotels, bed-and-breakfast, wonderful restaurants. An amazing getaway.”

“Stunning setting, gardens, and views.
Good food.
Beautiful remodel.
Rooms are comfortable and well decorated, quiet and clean.
Service was a hit or miss. Seems like lack of communication between employees a few times, and required our follow-up. Seems like they are still ironing out the kinks and should flow smother next season.
Our anniversary dinner was a flop. We were comped dishes for the snafu and for a broken bike, so it’s nice to see that management is noticing issues and fixing them, but in general, it didn’t always feel like a 4star hotel outside our room.
Feels like servers in the formal dining room need more training. We sat for 20mins without water or anyone coming to get a drink order. Also dishes were delivered to the table without silverware or spoons and we had to request cutlery. I Ordered a cappuccino for breakfast, my partner got a coffee in a mug with a saucer and my drink was delivered in a paper cup. I asked for a coffee mug and was brought one that was dirty. At lunch our appetizer came with one main course, because with two different kitchens, the mains came at wildly different times for all tables. Small missteps again and again illustrates a need for better training.

The Inn is a Good place for families and kids, with lots to do. It’s best feature is being far from the ferry and chaos of the crowds. It’s a quieter location than other hotels on the island and feels more relaxing. If you plan to bike, be prepared for hills and beautiful sights. You can rent bikes at the hotel, ask for a basket and take a towel from the wellness center if you find yourself wanting to go take a swim in the lake. It’s a 40min horse carriage ride from the inn to the ferry stop,’free on check-in and departure days, other rides in and out of town cost $11 per person each way.”

“Hotel and rooms are definitely dated, but it adds to the charm of the location. The fudge isn't world altering, but will definitely satisfy that of any sweet tooth.”

“Cozy little Inn with excellent staff and service. There's coffee, tea, snacks, and fruit available all day and cookies at night. The breakfast is the typical "COVID breakfast" - prewrapped items and such. Hot tub is nice and secluded - perfect way to unwind after a day out and about on the island. Good location, not too far from the main drag but close enough to be convenient. My only warning is the noise. The walls are paper-thin and you can hear everything - and I mean everything - from the hallways and the rooms adjacent and below/above you. So if you're a light sleeper, keep that in mind!”
