“My sister Nicole used to work for Fran when they were located on the other side of the street. So I know that THIS specific shop is the one and only original in the area and I will not go to the others. Being from this area this is just a fundamental truth that we are aware of and I feel sorry for the tourists who do not know better. I just stopped in to get my plain maple and plain vanilla. It is just simply the best and one of my favorite things about Mackinaw City. Other than visiting our mom.”

Don't be fooled by the places in mackinac that say sweet shop, you can tell the difference between our hometown fresh made and where ever it is they get theirs.
