“We come up to th U.P. every year and Zak & Mac's is always our number 1 priority when we get up here. Their peanut butter fudge is something my family will fight over. 😍🥰 The cookies and cream fudge is also really good. The sea salt milk chocolate toffee is amazing 👏. This year they have a Dubai chocolate bar. I wasn't going to get it but my husband surprised me with it. It is massive. Its about an inch thick. The filling could be a little sweeter but still delicious. I definitely suggest you try them!”

“My sister Nicole used to work for Fran when they were located on the other side of the street. So I know that THIS specific shop is the one and only original in the area and I will not go to the others. Being from this area this is just a fundamental truth that we are aware of and I feel sorry for the tourists who do not know better. I just stopped in to get my plain maple and plain vanilla. It is just simply the best and one of my favorite things about Mackinaw City. Other than visiting our mom.”

“My husband and I recently stopped in at Marshall's we were drawn in by the apples in the window, bought 2 they were absolutely delicious. We also bought some of there other in house made chocolates. Don't be fooled by the places in mackinac that say sweet shop, you can tell the difference between our hometown fresh made and where ever it is they get theirs. “This was my first time trying fudge on Mackinac Island, and it definitely lived up to the hype! If you're visiting, it's worth stopping in and trying some. Just keep in mind that the fudge is very sweet which is expected. I tried the Butterfinger fudge, and while it was good, it was a little too sweet for my personal taste. The chocolate peanut butter fudge was my favorite and had a great balance of flavors. Overall, it was a fun experience, and I'd definitely recommend giving it a try!”
“So happy that they have vegan fudge! There is only one flavor- chocolate, which is very rich. The girl at the counter at first told me they had no dairy-free flavors when I asked, and I almost walked out the store. She then offered the vegan one as a consolation? Like yes, that’s what I was asking for lol”

“2023: Everything was reasonable priced and the lady here was very nice. The fudge just didn't taste as authentic as I was hoping. The other goodies there were pretty good.
2024: Update the hours posted online are not right. So call first. We went there because they said they were open till 8pm and were disappointed when we arrived at 5 and they were not open.”
