“As the owner of Engman's Haven House in Kingsford, we travel up to Marquette many times a year. We like to stay here. We've done trips up here without our boys so me and my hubby Nicholas can have a romantic getaway. I spend so much time travelling to Chicago on business, sometimes it's nice to be romantic with my husband and not have to worry about my date threatening my life. So yeah, we like this place. Highly recommended, and I should know, I stay at a LOT of hotels.Walkability: Can get around foot here pretty easily”

“Really nice hotel... pretty upscale for the price. Front desk staff is super pleasant and helpful (shout-out to Leah). Not exactly a picturesque location but close to everywhere you want to go. Well pleased with this choice. As always, make sure you join the rewards program.”

“All the staff members were exceptional. The bar/restaurant offers a large variety of adult beverages. The menu is small but there are good options. We each ordered the Heritage burger, and they were outstanding, very flavorful. It comes with a side of either regular fries or sweet potato fries. You can substitute or add a salad, etc, for an upcharge. I highly recommend the Roasted Apple Old Fashion, for a beverage.”

“Came for a comedy show. The set up was downstairs but the seats were comfy, bar was set up nice, and restrooms were very clean! They put on a excellent event and for only $25 a ticket they went above and beyond my expectations.”

“This is a very nice place! There is indoor and outdoor dining available. We enjoyed a variety of food. I particularly liked the onion soup and salad. It was just enough for me. Discount available for staying at the hotel nearby. Service was excellent.”

“Rooms were clean and nice. The carpet did look older and will soon need to be replaced but it did not leave my white socks dirty so that was a plus. I also liked that it was quiet. No sounds of traffic outside and it was quiet inside the rooms and hallways. The breakfast was the usual waffle maker, scrambled eggs and sausage. I just wish they offered more fruit”

“The bed had clean sheets, but the rest of the room was not as well maintained as it should have been. There were chocolates that had fallen behind the bed that were not cleaned up. There was also what looked like food on the bed skirt. The shower needed repair as the metal ring around the shower head was loose and the toilet was scuffed. The room was also really dark. I did not like the keypad instead of an actual key card or key. The instructions were also not clear on how to lock the door when leaving. Location was fine but the turn to get to the parking lot is a little difficult.”

“This Hotel has the friendliest staff. They are so welcoming and helpful. The rooms are so clean, the workout room was a decent size, and the laundry room where washing is free has plenty of washers and dryers. They also have garage parking, which I love that they do. It snowed so much, so I was grateful that it was garaged.”
