“I stayed at the Comfort Suites in Marquette on the night of October 16 while traveling with my Mom. I was very impressed with this hotel. Full disclaimer: I booked this stay as a rewards night for 30,000 points, so I did not pay anything out of pocket. That is actually the first positive for this property. A lot of Choice properties do their best to limit rewards redemptions, but this one made it easy. All room types were available, and I felt the points redemption rate was reasonable. When I booked, this hotel was priced to be competitive with other hotels in Marquette. We ended up with a 2 Queen Beds & Sofa Bed Suite. The lobby is on the smaller side, but the staff who checked us in were very friendly. Choice Privileges members also get a free item from the marketplace in the lobby, which is a nice touch. Our room was reasonably large, though it was on the smaller side for a suite. While some furniture did have some wear and tear, the room was very clean. The beds were comfortable, and my Mom was a fan of the large bathroom with a grab bar. We could not find anything wrong with our room. This hotel also offers a pool, hot tub, and sauna, which have adult-only hours after 10, which is appreciated. The pool was heated, and the hot tub was working and at a nice temperature. The sauna was also operating and was being used by other guests. We were also fans of the painting in the pool area. The breakfast in the morning was pretty standard for a Comfort property, with eggs, bacon, waffles, cereals, breads, fruit, juice, and milk. Across the parking lot is the Hudson’s Classic Bar & Grill, where you get a discount if you present your room key. We did not eat there, but it looked nice. Overall, I was happy with my stay, and I will most likely stay here again when I find myself in Marquette.”

“First time here but we'll be back while 4x4 adventuring the UP. One of the nicer hotels in the UP and the price wasn't thru the roof. Plenty of space if you have a large group”

“Room was clean and restful. Like the lobby, it looked like it had been updated fairly recently. Fridge, microwave and large screen TV in room. Bathroom was tiny but that wasn't a big deal. Minimal street noise. Pet friendly. Staff was friendly and helpful. Grocery store across the street was handy. Only downside not identified in hotel information - NO ELEVATOR. Dragging luggage up the stairs required multiple trips. Travel light or make sure you request a first floor room.”

“Room had a great view of the harbor. Sarah at the front desk was always there and was extremely accommodating. That level of service and kindness is not always a guaranteed anymore. I will definitely return and look forward to our next stay. The location to everything is great. Just out of downtown proper while still being close enough to walk to restaurants and shops. The room was clean. We stay for a few nights and needed to do laundry, those facilities were also clean and up to my standards”
