I've always have a hard time getting them on the phone. I also stopped in there three weeks ago on Monday, the doors were locked, and I was not about to set up A certificate of deposit from the drive up... Which I guess they would be just fine with. Honestly... What services do they provide....0% on savings... No money market checking... They ordered checks without asking what I wanted. They assumed that I wanted checks without a pressure copy... So I had to Literally record every transaction, feels like 1965. I had to reordered the checks.
..there is no difference between my mattress and this bank. I've been trying since 9 am to call them ...6 hours later I still can't reach them.
On top of this, my debit card was hacked and had to be replaced. I was told it's pretty common... Yes, common maybe... Apparently so common that they don't even bother investigating it. But in 50 years of having credit cards, 25 years having a debit card... Never hacked...
I think it's time to rethink putting my money somewhere else.
My debit card was compromised again. Twice in two years since 2023. I made sure to cover up when entering pin. Didn't help. They Can't be trusted, and when I asked if this compromise could be from within their own bank... They laughed at me. Again did nothing to investigate. In fact they discouraged me from calling the police or investigating. WHY?

Run! The staff is rude. The service is horrible. The manager walks right in front of you and there's no greeting or acknowledgment that you've walked through their door. My autopay is set up by the due date and the transaction goes through(!). Nevertheless I get charged a $29 late fee and they "don't understand why". The balances are not consistent from "statement documents" to the credit card balance on the app. The app is very counterintuitive. I've never seen a worse bank app. It goes along with the "service" or lack thereof. I really don't think they give a .... There haven't been any improvements, according to their reviews. Closing my account I will NEVER do banking at 5th 3rd again. (5th/3rd -- don't bother with your patronizing reply. The pervasive problems that exist at this branch should've been taken care of by now.)

Staff is rude, irresponsible, and perpetually unhelpful. And why did they even build a drive through? No matter what your transaction, they make up a reason to force you to come inside. I've never had an even halfway decent experience at this branch. If i could give them 0 stars, i would.

Terrible bank. Opened my account online with zero issues. Days later they shut me out and want me to walk into a branch to verify my identity. Allegedly, I'm told they do this to all customers who open online. This wholly defeats the purpose and convenience of opening online. From reading other reviews, I see I am not the only person they've done this to. Puts such a bad taste in my mouth that I'll take my business elsewhere.

It’s like they go out of their way to make you have a bad experience. They don’t like performing the simple tasks of their job. Worst bank. Matt needs to work on his guest service skills.

If you could give less than one star I would be. Over four months ago a check I wrote to a company in FLORIDA went to OHIO... DTE cashed that check and not the company that it was written to. Which was deposited in a Fifth Third account. Since then I have been trying to get my $31,645.63 ( not a typo) back into my account. I can't get anywhere with anyone there and Matt is just so not interested. I am betting if this was their money that had been taken out of their personal account they would be upset. They gave me a date that the money would be re entered and that time has passed. DTE says the money has been returned to my account-- not true Fifth Third has my money somewhere.They also closed our branch office in Williamston without us being notified and now we have to go to Okemos in what everyone knows is a mess with traffic this summer.If this was my first problem with Fifth Third I might be more understanding but at one point in time I watched as they handed my BUSINESS ACCOUNT information to another client leaving the building and I had to run out asking for my checking account information. It was no big deal to them if someone had my paperwork with account balances.*** After their response I did contact the number they listed and since it was a Business account they couldn't help me either. I have been in contact again with the Okemos Branch and when Matt answered the phone and I told him who I was " he didn't even know me". Wouldn't you think after over 4 months and sitting in his office for over two hours dealing with this same issue he would have remembered me? They now say they will have the money in my account in 24 hours. We shall see.

Have confirmed my auto pay 4 times and then they say it's still not confirmed and charge me a $50 for late payment. Absolutely unacceptable.

To say that there rude would be a freaking understatement that branch treats you awful, there unprofessional and unwilling to work with people with out a big bank account. I wrote a letter to there office in Cincinnati that explains my whole situation and that they should be embarrassed that they allow a branch with people that behave like that to represent 5/3rd

Switched from PNC 2 years ago and never looked back. The staff is friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The bankers always go above and beyond to take care of me and even advise for my long term goals. The tellers are fun and always remember my name. Would definitely suggest using this Bank!

It's covid season. Went to bank yesterday. Rep had a glass divider but didn't use it. Rep had a mask but wasn't covering face.Had to go to Chase right after, they use dividers and masks.If you're concerned about safety and your health, then this place does not take or enforce precautionary measures for their staff.

This bank is not to be trusted. They had a promotion if you open an account you get 200 dollars and they did not keep up to their work. They are cheats. This is not the first time I have this bad experience with this bank. I am going to close my account and never come back to this bank.
