If I could rate this specific location lower, I would. The bank manager called me and was wanting me to come in and speak with him. His name is Irvin Delong. I go in there and he brings me into his office and questions me on cash deposits and withdrawals that I am making in certain locations. When I asked him why he was asking me his exact words were even know the use of marijuana is legal in the state of Michigan it is still not federally legal for you to purchase or sell. I had never been speechless before in my life. So this man, who’s card says “vice president” literally called me in there to accuse me of buying and selling drugs based off of me depositing or withdrawing my own money from THEIR own bank locations. I just received a letter in the mail today stating that they’re closing my savings account. So I called the number that was listed on the paper to ask why, the lady on the phone asked me if it said that both of my accounts were being closed and I told her no it only told me my savings account was being closed so then she proceeds to tell me that they are closing all of my accounts! So they were not even going to inform me about them closing my checking account, so what were they going to do? Just keep all my money? She goes on to tell me that my name, and my account has been flagged for being “at risk”. So, of course, that made me feel some type away, and I explain to her what the branch manager said to me in his office, and she was in complete total shock that he would accuse me of buying and selling marijuana!! I’m a server, I get my tips daily, so just because I deposit my tips into my bank account like any other normal person does now I’m being punished and my name is flagged for the whole world to see, because when they flag it, your name and account, it’s going to reflect on your Social Security number. So what did this man just do to me and my life? She did help me out and she did file a complaint on my behalf and she transferred me to her boss but of course I had to leave a voicemail and I’m sure I won’t get a phone call back. I will file until I can’t file anymore against this location.

Refused to simply give me change because I didn't have an account. This is a very basic service almost all banks offer.

Worst bank for getting a check cashed! First of all if u don't have the funds to cover the check you want to cash they won't cash it has to be deposited then once you do deposit it it's ok thanks for your money now you have to wait 24-72 hrs in order to use any of your hard earned money. So in other words those who work paycheck to paycheck you have to wait an extra 1-3 days to access YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! EILL BE SWITCHING TO A DIFFERENT BANK AS SOON AS I CAN ACCESS MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE FOR A LONG TERM PATRON!!

I ended up at Huntington from Chemical bank, and I have to admit that the change over didn't happen very smoothly. HOWEVER, now that my debit card is working properly, I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER. The online/mobile banking is AMAZING; so user friendly that even one with limited experience can easily navigate the HUB and all of the many options available to the consumer. Personally, I believe Huntington will be all they claim to be and more. ?

Nikki is unwilling to help long term customers, rude and is a disgrace to work in the customer service field.

I am beyond furious with the way this TCF/Huntington bank merger was handled on my end. To begin with, I LOVED chemical bank when I transferred to it in 2015. They allowed us to take an interest free loan when we struggled with home damage during the flash flood in 2017. I stayed on with TCF because of this, despite the fact that they moved to a lackluster electronic banking system - probably to save money. But now. We were told not just once, but TWICE by a manager (when I opened my sons teen account in June), and later by an employee when my husband visited the bank and specifically asked, that our accounts would be transferring to Huntington bank.No other information was shared with us regarding the transfer of accounts to another bank until we received our new credit/debit cards in the mail for Horizon bank. I remember wondering why they said “Horizon” when the bank name was Huntington, but not really thinking about it much after that. Wish I had! Our last day to use our old cards with TCF was Friday September 18th, but I had been told we could still work with our accounts (while the banks were merging) until mid October. I called and activated my new card, and noticed on Saturday that I could only access my sons teen account.Turns out that Huntington was not legally allowed to take all of the TCF accounts to avoid a monopoly in the area, so they picked and chose certain accounts to send to Horizon bank. How and why would be nice to know?! Our joint checking and savings was sent to Horizon with no call or contact other than (supposedly) a welcome packet sent in the mail, while our son’s teen account was kept at Huntington. I don’t remember seeing a welcome packet from Horizon but if I did get one, I probably threw it away assuming that it was junk mail, since I never received a call from anyone at Huntington or TCF to let me know that this decision had been made. Finally, why in the world would you separate accounts from the same address, and transfer them to two different banks?! I will be scrambling to deal with this problem for the next two weeks because there was no window planned to allow ease of transfer from TCF/Huntington to Horizon. It may affect my credit rating. It’s absolutely unacceptable. I would highly recommend that you DO NOT use TCF or Huntington banks. End of rant.
