“I don't know how Mary and her staff could have made things easier for us after the death of our son. She kept us updated on what we were waiting for, like the physician's signature on the Death Certificate, permits from the County, etc. She allowed us to call with questions at any time, and even read a Bible verse and a great poem at our private cemetery service. I hope to not use a funeral home again soon, but certainly hope Mary is still around when I do!”

“Couldn't be more satisfied with Merkle Funeral Service in Dundee, MI. They were very helpful and easy to communicate with, helping us compose and post a lovely obituary, helping us obtain death certificates (they were willing to arrange for me to come pick them up, saving several days in transit), and allowing a musical tribute for Alicia's service to rehearse in the space the day before the service. The service space was lovely, with great acoustics. Staff helped us set up pictures and remembrances the day before the service, and Merkle staff composed a lovely slideshow from pictures we provided online, with a soundtrack of one of Alicia's favorite songs. Merkle also went above and beyond, coordinating schedules with a mobile phlebotomist who needed a post-mortem blood test to clear the way for Alicia to donate her body for medical research and teaching. There were simply too many kindnesses and too much professionalism to fit into a review. Merkle came highly recommended by our nurses at Hospice of Lenawee, and I can certainly see why.
