“We checked in for the Ann Arbor Dog Show on 7/2/26 -over 100 degrees! Kayla, who checked me in, was working in reception, where there was NO air conditioning within the lobby 🥵 It has been like this for the past two weeks!!
And still, this wonderfully and dedicated employee met me with a smile as she checked us in - very pleasant, very professional despite her AWFUL working conditions! She was so genuinely thrilled to see all of the different dog breeds come in and meet each one.
Friday evening, terrible storms flew through Monroe leaving the hotel with doors ripped from their slides and a huge mess outside - Kayla was there, and had taken control of the situation to ensure all of us inside, were safe.
The devastation from the storm was enough to cancel both Saturday and Sunday’s dog shows as most of the city was still without power -
Bravo and HUGE thanks to Kayla and the rest of the Tru Hilton staff on Dixie Highway for NEVER losing focus of their jobs! Breakfast was never late! NOT one employee complained- Our rooms were cleaned with fresh towels every day!! And most importantly, every employee was welcoming, respectful, and so genuinely personable 🤗!!
The world needs more phenomenal people like the staff at Tru Hilton in Monroe, Michigan- EVERY ONE OF THEM DESERVES RESPECT, RECOGNITION, and a HUGE raise in their pay!!!!”
