Newaygo State Park is a beautiful and quiet place perfect for camping and outdoor activities. It offers a range of amenities, including a disc golf course, a boat launch to Hardy Dam pond, and access to the Dragon MTB trail. Campers find the sites suitable for small groups, with some spots like site 19 being a good size for two tents. The park's landscape features stunning trees and scenic views, making it a great escape from nearby cities like Grand Rapids. Visitors enjoy walking trails, a playground that is popular with children, and the chance to see friendly campers. The park is especially nice in the late season, with fewer people and beautiful yellow leaves. Overall, Newaygo State Park provides a relaxing environment with fun outdoor activities and is highly recommended for those looking to connect with nature.
Nice, clean camp. It was a great stay, aside from the fact that the water pump is missing a handle and I couldn't refill my water jug. Usually I don't need to but, this time I was counting on it. Disappointed.

Let me start with that we absolutely love this place. I've been coming here since I was a kid. My kids absolutely enjoy it here too.
This weekend it rained hard for about 30 minutes. Our campsite(87) got completely flooded in minutes. There were other campsites that flooded as well.

Staff were friendly. The parking lot for the Dragon Trail unfortunately doesn't have an outhouse, so you have to ride/drive to the campground to find one.
