Northville Woods Apartments - A thief’s paradise!
Our mail carrier leaves dozens of mailboxes like this regularly! At least once a week.
They leave the locker keys sitting out in the open with the mailbox doors swinging in the wind.
High level incompetence and ignorance if you ask me!

I have never been so disrespected in my life. I walked in to get a passport appointment. There were no clear instructions on where I was supposed to go. I was waiting in line and I wasn’t sure if that’s where I was supposed to go. There’s a sign in the lobby that says passport waiting area, So I stood there for a couple moments. A lady stepped outside of the door and was yelling at me down the hallway asking me if I had an appointment for a passport and I said yes she said you were supposed to check into the front desk like the doctors office. I said I’m sorry I didn’t know. We took a photo. She told me to wait by the second desk, but the other employee had asked me to step back so I stepped back. The lady then comes up behind the desk and tells me to step back up. She asked me where my passport application she was and I said see here’s the thing and she said well there is no here’s the thing. I continue to explain that I had messed up on the application form and I needed a new one. She said we don’t have them and I said well my mom had gotten two from our post office and she said well that was a courtesy from them, but we don’t do that. Couple other things went on and they said so this is a waste of time for me and she said yes it’s a waste of time for us to. I’ve never felt so upset and disrespected. My appointment was denied because I messed up on my application sheet and asked for a new one.
Mind you I’m autistic, I’ve never done this as an adult. These experiences are why I don’t. And the sad part is there is nothing to do to report it and even if I did nothing would happen. I get people have bad days but don’t take it out on me.

I could give zero if I could. The lady who is handling passports seems to be very unhappy about her job. I went for a passport application in the morning around 10:30 but I didn’t have the application filled so the lady I think her name is Kayla told me to come back anytime because it’s a walk in Wednesday. I went back around 12:50pm and the other older lady was so rude that I had to come back at 1:30 because it’s on their website and I should know it. The other lady was trying to tell her that I was here this morning but she didn’t give her a chance to talk. She proceeded to tell me that she has a lot of work to do. Like what in the world do you need to complain about your job to me. I hope no one will experience this. This is unnecessary and pathetic.

AVOID at all costs.
“Forgot” to send passport with passport application and did not inform me.
Upon my inquiry directly to the post office after I was getting concerned as my renewal request was not making any progress on the online tracker, post office “found it” in their safe. This was one month after my appointment for the passport and when I thought the application was sent in.
“We are only human, we make mistakes” is what I was told. Not a sincere apology.

Obviously you can feel the employees that work in this office hates each other. Very slow and unprofessional. No one cares I guess.

We had a pleasant and efficient passport application appt for our infant here. Our first attempt for a passport appt was at the Redford Post Office, and it was a bad experience (had a scheduled appt, and passport app employee was not there, unsure when she would be back per another postal worker). At this Northville location, they had plenty of dates/times to schedule an appt. We were in and out in about 10 min. Have all of your forms printed and ready! Arrive at least 10 min early.

Many others here have said it, but it bears repeating, this is the worst post office and laziest letter carriers I’ve ever experienced. I order packages to my business regularly. Often these are expensive items which require a signature. I have NEVER been actually required to sign for anything. I get a notification that “package was signed for by recipient” only to find the package dropped by the back door on the ground next to garbage. When I complained I was told “carriers aren’t required to get signatures due to covid rules”. In 2024! They aren’t scared, they are LAZY, and it seems they cannot be held accountable. Also, I’m PAYING for signature service and they are just scribbling something down and saying I’ve received the package.
I’ve complained numerous times, and it has actually gotten much worse. It’s starting to feel as if they are intentionally delaying my packages and leaving them in inappropriate places due to the times I’ve complained about them leaving packages valued over $1000 next to trash bins. Tracking stops and I get the message that my package is being “held for pickup” only to find that the package is actually at a sorting facility in an industrial park that has no public access. Absolutely trash service by lazy trashy people. If I could use UPS or FedEx for everything I would, but many vendors I use will only ship USPS, so I’m stuck with relying on these clowns to deliver things I need to run my business.

I was so concerned going to this branch for passport application after reading all the bad reviews, but decided to not reschedule it to another branch but give it a try. OMG I can honestly say this is the best experience with USPS I have ever had! All Ladies were so friendly, helpful and nice that I was so surprised! Maybe they changed staff and it used to be worse before according to all the bad reviews, but now this is great usps branch for sure!
