“A Truly Transformative Experience for Our Daughter
As a household where English is not our primary language, helping our 5‑year‑old daughter learn to speak, read, and pronounce English has always felt challenging. When she started at The Goddard School on Grand River in Novi, she had never been taught the alphabet at home, nor did she know the phonetic sounds of each letter.
What has happened since then has genuinely amazed us.
Now, as she prepares for kindergarten, we can show her a word we’ve never pronounced for her before, and she immediately tries to break it down using the phonetic skills she learned at school. Hearing her sound out words correctly — or almost perfectly — has been such an impressive and heartwarming moment for us as parents.

The teachers here have given her confidence, structure, and a strong foundation in early literacy. We are truly grateful for the patience, care, and dedication they show every day. Our daughter’s progress is proof of how impactful their approach is.
