Sonesta Select Detroit Novi

Hotels, Venues & Event Spaces
Sonesta Select Detroit Novi is a clean and spacious hotel that generally provides a pleasant stay for guests. The rooms are consistently described as clean and well-maintained, with some reviews highlighting the size and cleanliness of the rooms, including the bathroom. Despite this, some guests noted that certain rooms appeared dated, with basic amenities like small TVs and older decor such as popcorn ceilings. A few guests experienced issues with their rooms not matching their reservations, such as receiving a standard room instead of a suite with a balcony, but staff members like Tyler worked to resolve these problems and upgrade rooms to improve guest satisfaction. The staff is often praised for being friendly, polite, and accommodating, especially with requests related to pets and special needs. However, some guests encountered service issues, including insufficient supplies like towels and toilet paper, and challenges with maintenance, such as a running toilet that flooded the bathroom. The pool was frequently reported as cold, with some guests unable to enjoy swimming due to its temperature and lack of towels for pool use. The fitness center is small and basic, offering just a treadmill, elliptical, and some weights, which might limit options for guests looking for extensive workouts. Overall, Sonesta Select Detroit Novi offers a clean, friendly environment with helpful staff, but guests should be prepared for some dated features and occasional service inconsistencies. The hotel’s proximity to nearby activities like Walmart adds to its convenience for visitors.
