The store was large and had a massive sale going on. The staff was very helpful asking me if I needed help every so often, I spent a lot of time there. There was so much ground to cover and I wanted to see everything! One thing that I was a little disappointed in is the lack of glassware for the kitchen. I was looking particularly for Pyrex containers to switch out my plastic containers and there were only individual ones, no sets. No fault of the staff, I would have expected a container store to have more container options for meal prep that do not involve plastics.

Today I walked into the Container Store to purchase some liners for a refrigerator I just bought upon entering into the store there was a rep at the front counter soon as I walked in he didn't greet me he didn't say hello no one came to see if I needed assistance looking for an item this will be my first and last time ever stepping foot in this store. I wish I could have wrote a review without putting any stars but to write a review you have to at least put one.

Kathy was helpful with helping us select the items needed for my home however, at the register when we handed her our money ($100 dollars bills) she used the marker to make sure our money wasn’t fake which wasn’t a problem. The problem was when the maker didn’t indicate the money was fake she took her finger and rubbed over the marked area to rubbing the ink in more to double check. I’ve never in all my years seen anyone do this. SMH #brownskin

If you are considering remodeling your home, including closets, garages, kitchens, or any other room or structure, I highly recommend that you meet with Kim at The Container Store in Novi. Kim made multiple trips out to our home (no extra charge), took measurements, spoke with us in detail about the products we were looking for, and was very patient with us as we made our decisions. We ended up splitting the project up into phases and spacing them out by a few months - Kim kept our designs and choices saved and worked with our hectic schedules. The end result was very polished, and the installers did a very nice job. Note that for some projects, you may need to bring in your own contractor to do some of the work (i.e. painting, plumbing, cutting into walls, - work to be done on surfaces/materials not included in your purchase), so it's best to line up those third party contactors ahead of time. We will certainly give Kim a call when we're ready for our next home improvement.

Thank you, Judy, you hooked me up, literally, as she helped me find a custom, hard-to-find, 4-hook set for my families house. She obviously takes great delight in her work and values every little detail. You're a lovely woman who takes care of that store. You helped me.
