“From the moment I walked in I knew I would love this apartment! First impression is definitely a strong suit at okemos station. Julie was the kindest and personable leasing agent. She answered every single question with patience and I was able to view the apartment on spot despite my appointment being the next morning. I loved the nature preserve and she highlighted all the apartments near it and I got to moved in at the perfect time in the perfect area!!! Taira was also extremely helpful with every step of my application process, ensuring I did everything correct ! ( I ask alot of questions lol) . My overall experience so far at this apartment is amazing and I cant wait to experience life at okemos station!”

“I find that the Ingham County Housing Commission inside Carriage Lane apartments is a good resource for low-cost housing. The building is kinda ran down but overall the people here are nice and easy to get along with so the social aspect is well diverse so it makes up for the looks of the building. It isn't too out of shape though. I have lived here off and on for nearly 13 lucky years so my opinion may be a bit biased. The residents here have a wide range of abilities and disabilities and I have learned a lot from pretty much all the people who dwell here. I also find it to be a safe place to reside as long as you don't invite or provoke trouble yourself. There are also activities albeit seldom to get to know the neighbors to prevent anyone really from being a stranger to any other person living here. One problem I face is the fact that it is a little distance from any of the stores here in Okemos such as Meijer and Walmart. I take public transportation to get to the venues in the area and the city bus that takes me to the places I need to go doesn't run on Sunday although it operates at a nearby bus stop just a little over every half hour of the day almost throughout every day of the week except Saturdays when it operates a little after every hour as the last bus stops here around 7:30pm and the bus also doesn't run on most holidays. If so, then you might not be able to ride the whole day. Overall, Carriage Lane Apartments where the office of the Ingham County Housing Commission is located is rather a decent place to live, in my opinion!
