“Went to this place yesterdah and really enjoyed looking around at all the neat stuff. The tshirts are really cool but couldnt find 3x. Happens a lot to me lol but i plan to try and get out fishing if my health allpws soon. Im a disabled veteran. I also got to chatting with the two young women working there and they where both really nice. I mentioned im an artist and gave them my card and destiny said she loved art and she is even supposed to call me about helping me as a cRegiver when shes not working there. Its just amazinf how u meet people who may be a big help. Anyway i will be back to this place. Im part cherokee although u cant tell becaiee of my european roots but i tey to support the native americans. I habe always been treated with respect as a veteran and after all the issues theyve had in past wr owe them so much. There is just no way to repay the people who came before us who are largely forgotten in this country. God blees you anf thanks for a great place to go get my bait and gas all that.Im not sure how to get my foshing license for life but im 100 percent and i think i can but i know i can get a free one with ny reward lette. If u do that ill be up for that. Thanks”

“Honestly, Dec. 6th, 2022 was a terrible day. Our tire popped after we hit the rumble strips before the round about to come into Standish. We pulled into shell bc we thought the tire pressure was down, and needed air. Our windshield wipers were messed up too which was a big part of why we stopped also, seeing as it was raining. I was in tears not knowing how I was going to make the rest of our hour and 15 min trip. The older gentleman in the store was so kind. We were going to have to leave the car if we couldn't get a ride. He said he would let the night shift know just in case and promised our car wouldn't be towed. We ended up stuck for over 2 hours in pouring rain. We got someone to come help change the tire. But it wasn't looking good for a while. He let us hang out in the store with my 2yr old niece. He even gave her a juice he paid for himself. I didn't catch his name bc I wasn't even thinking straight so names were the last thing on my mind. He also helped my blind friend with .40 for her purchase. (We were really down on our luck) he even tried to see if maintenance had tools we could use to get the stuck tire off. This man was a gods sent. And I definitely deserves large recognition. I don't think I'll ever be able to say as big enough thanks as he deserves for all his help. If he sees this, thank you sir. I hope your holiday season and entire rest of your life is the absolute best possible. ❤️ -Sincerely the crying wreck with the flat tire.”

“On Saturday July 23 about noon my wife and I made a quick stop at the BP in Standish where we often stop. We like the store very much and often see other people from Oscoda making stops. On this particular visit I was surprised no one else was in the store and I noticed the attendant, Taylor, moving quickly through the store cleaning everything in sight. I was amazed that in a moment when she could have taken a break with no customers she was devoting her time to cleaning. I complimented her on her diligence and wanted you to know that she is one excellent employee!”

“Stopped by there for gas but more than that to get some jerky. Their jerky is delicious. They have all different kinds of meat and flavors. If you like jerky you don't want to miss stopping here.”
