“The M 64 Truck Stop saved our trip! On our last day exploring the Porcupine Mountain State Park, we pulled off along Lake Superior for lunch. When we started up again, we noted our tire light was on and our left front tire was very low! We decided to risk the drive to Ontonagon (closest town) for help (while calling our roadside assistance and being on hold for 20 minutes). This was the first place we found and pulled in. They were having their own problems as the pumps were not working (not a lot of options for gas up that way). While the repair shop had just closed, the owner was still at the gas station and re-opened the shop for us. He pulled a 1 inch rock (that looked like a small spike - I saved it as keepsake!) out of our tire and patched it up - all for only $10 (we also make a generous contribution to his beverage fund). We hung around the area a bit more - explored the town, saw the lighthouse and museum to make sure the plug held before heading back through the Park and the 400+ miles home the next day!”
“Best mechanic in town. David is a Certified Master Mechanic that knows what he's doing, so he does great work at a reasonable and fair price. Anytime I have something that I can't (or don't want to) tackle on my own, I give them a call.”
