“This store is a 12 minute drive from my house (and there is a Rite Aid much closer to me), but I ended up here to get my Covid booster. I was apprehensive, not because shots bother me, but due to the observation that pharmacy staff in general have been stressed for years and it has only worsened with this pandemic and the staffing shortages/higher demands placed on them. When I was called to stepped forward to get my vaccine, the pharmacist introduced himself (was it John?) and asked me how I was doing - sounding not like he was checking a screening box but like he really cared. He also answered my questions afterwards without sounding annoyed. He demonstrated more care and patience than some of my relatives do! In a day when I almost expect pharmacy workers to be rude at worst and curt at best, this man had me wondering if I'd stepped into an alternate reality. I walked out of the store thinking maybe I should change all my prescriptions to this location, even though it would double my drive time. Still in an awed shock....”
