I returned my vehicle with a less than full gas tank. This should mean that I am simply charged for the gas needed to bring the tank back up to full. The tank had ~3/4 tank of gas. I was charged $92.15 to bring the tank to full. This is an absolute scam as I was charged for a full tank of gas!My receipt states I drove 126 miles. If I get 14 MPG, which is the stated city mileage for this vehicle, that would mean I consumed 9 gallons of gas. If I was charged $92.15 for 9 gallons, that means I was charged $10.23/gal for Avis to refill this vehicle.Your website states, "Our rates for this service are comparable to the current local retail pump price." <---- That's a lie!I will NOT be renting from Avis, Budget, or Zipcar ever again.Edit: Since I can't reply to a response, I will do it here. Stop scamming people. Neither your website or T&Cs addresses returning a vehicle less than full. Avis simply charges for a full tank of gas. Unless I am mistaken, there is not another car rental company that does this; they simply charge you market rate to fill up the tank.

Avis' practices make it very difficult for a customer to want to use them. Because I am flying in on Sunday and they are not open, they want me to pay for Friday and Saturday even though the car will be sitting in their lot.Definitely not the way to get a customer to trust and want to use them. I used them once from this airport and pretty much was on my own. So now I am changing my flight to go to an airport with Enterprise, as they are much more customer friendly.

Wow I WAS considering a rental from here for 2 weeks but after reading the reviews- NOPE. Your company should care more about customers experiences, you lost at least a grand or 2 just on me. Good luck, maybe invest on hiring better people.

Unfortunately must add to the recent trend of poor reviews of this Avis branch. Terrible customer service, and it seems they are more than willing to take advantage of the customer in any way with their vague policies. Why a rental company located in an airport in a tourist area closes at 4p daily during peak season is beyond me. However, these policies and hours could be looked past if the staff had any shred of hospitality or empathy. Not much to ask of a company in the hospitality business, you would think.As it was my parents were stranded in the area and had little choice but to do business with them. Problems every step of the way during the rental process delaying their trip by an extra day. I am told the vehicle was nice and ran well. Upon returning the vehicle they meticulously cleaned it, filled up the tank, and dropped off at the same location by 4p. Three days later, I am now told they are being harassed by the company, contacting them saying they did not return the vehicle. So the saga continues.I urge those considering renting a vehicle here to keep records of all policies explained to them. Take pictures of the car and the dash before driving it off the lot, and again upon returning to the company. It seems you will need to defend yourself from baseless accusations and charges. If any other option is available just save yourself the trouble and do that instead. Seems like a predatory company, ready to take advantage of folks any way they can. Whoever runs this place ought to be ashamed.

Rented a car drove 40 minutes to pick the car up swiped my card, it was short 40 bucks she forgot to mention the 200 dollar deposit. The card declined only had one card. You can’t pay cash stuck here now zero customer service didn’t tell me I only had one swipe a day now I’m stuck at the airport. Yvonne was the rep her manager was there as well both absolutely lack empathy to the situation. If I could give zero stars I would. Honestly classless. Worse part is both budget and Avis are on the same system.

Avis is the WORST company. I’m not sure if it’s just this location! I prepaid for the car without their insurance and when I arrived was told I had to take their insurance for $31 per day for 4 days!They took my credit card and put a hold of $250 and then at my return they charged me $214!I called and the rude lady that answered said the insurance is no longer $31 but $35 and they charged for refueling.I also brought back a clean car and a FULL thank!Be VERY CAREFUL OF THEM!

The absolute WORSE rental car company! DO NOT rent from Avis!!! I was overcharged $750 for a one-way rental. I picked up and returned not only to the same location, but the EXACT parking spot! They claim it was return 1,400 miles away (I had the car for a week and only drove 1,095 miles). I'm waiting on a refund which their "customer support" department told me could take up to 10 business days. Meantime I can't file my expense report (this was business travel) until this is rectified. I have $4000 held up thanks to this train wreck of a rental car company!

We were very happy with everything. The van we rented was very clean and new. The rental fee was the best in the area, and the people were very helpful and friendly.

Avoid this place at all cost. Yvonne and Lisa are witches. Everyone in town knows about them. EVERYONE. When I relayed my experience, the common respnse is " We hear this about them all the time. Apparently, Lisa call a woman the "C" word. Don't use Budget either, same stand. Mackinaw shuttle next door is $$$$$$. Go to the terminal and ask for a taxi phone number. Use another airport or drive in if you can.You've been warned.

Customer service was good. The car was good but did not use the car due to work schedule change. Never started the car, and was charged for fuel. Needless to say this was my first experience with Avis.

If you want to get charged over double what they quote you rent from these clowns. rented a suv for $700 for 2 days, they charged my credit card almost $1700. said i returned the truck late, i did not return it late, said i trashed the truck, a couple empty water bottles is not trashed, said i smoked in the vehicle when i did not, said i returned it empty on gas, i gave it back with more gas than they gave it to me with, one of the tires was also flat upon pick up, being a man i handled it myself and got air in the tire, the windshield wipers did not work, i fixed that also. also good luck getting a receipt with a break down of your charges, better yet good luck getting in contact with someone with a brain. they will charge you for every single box in there computer that they can when you drop it off. i have never left a business a bad review as a small business owner myself, i have never seen such a poorly ran small business.
