“Great organization that helps fight hunger in Grand Rapids area. Nicely organized, good communication with volunteers, they allow groups like boyscouts, girlscouts come as well.”
“Warm, welcoming, and friendly. A place you wish you didn't need to be, but glad it exists. Grand Rapids is so lucky to have this resource available. When I arrived, the parking was very easy and there was signage pointing me where to go. Upon entering the building, someone was at a desk ready to greet me and show me where to go. I attended the new member grief support meeting. I signed up for my grief support group that night and was able to stay for dinner (free!) and grief group. There are so many resources available - books, yoga, art therapy, music therapy, etc. It is incredible. I look forward to attending more events.”
“My experiences with the otherway ministries have been wonderful. When I need food I go here. It isn't canned food but actual REAL food that is healthy. The volunteers are wonderful and treat me with dignity.”
“Came here with friends for the club's Luau. The food was delicious and served hot! The staff and members were very friendly too! They also had a band that started at 8pm. The band was called signal point Band or SPB. Very talented and kept the dance floor full.”
“Great people, serving our community with selflessness and pride. Treating every contact with the respect that they deserve, knowing that every person has their own unique story and situations.”
“My Aunt was diagnosed & approximately 2 days later Susan Mast Foundation reached out. Their staff is so helpful and supportive. We would have been lost without their help and guidance in navigating things as symptoms progressed. They are very kind and passionate about helping people through tough times. This is an amazing bunch of people to have in your corner while enduring such a horrific disease.”

“I forgot to take a photo, but when I just went there today, they were closed and the sign on the side door said that as of April 14, 2023, they are closed until further notice. Was required to give a rating to post this… didn’t want to give them a bad rating, so I gave them 5 stars.”
“I went to the Women’s Resource Center quite some time ago. They helped me get a job at the (only) phone company! I was going through a divorce and pretty “down”; they were my “cheerleaders”! I retired from that fantastic job 23 years later! Now I encourage young women to give them a try!”
“Great food and caring people! The nicest people volunteer and work here. They truly care about helping people here and it shows. There are also times when they give out necessities like socks, gloves or mittens, and winter hats right there in the dining room!It is a very awesome place that is very helpful to people who are down on their luck. You will get a wonderful warm meal at the very least. Sometimes, they even give out a second meal to take with you. Not every day, but once in a while. It definitely helps people who don't have a lot of money or food stamps, to get a good healthy meal in their belly at least once a day.God bless you all for your kindness and caring hearts! ❤️❣️❤️❣️❤️❣️❤️❣️❤️❣️❤️”
“Nice space for a Surprise Birthday party that we attended. The elderly attendees and disabled had a very hard time climbing the stairs to get up to the party space upstairs. They have a lower space and I would choose that instead next time. There is no lot for Parking and it was challenging to find a spot but we did finally find a spot on street.”

“Amazing organization! Compassionate, caring staff, patient and kind! This place offers SO many beneficial resources for the youth. If you ever need a safe place and healthy environment, I highly recommend you go here! ?”
“This is a great place to exercise locally. I love the diversity at this location and the staff is friendly. I love that. It’s right around the corner in my neighborhood! Margarita is an excellent staff member here!”
“Great place to shop. They have a lot of great deals going on, especially certain tag colors with a certain percentage off. I will shop there again and the staff members were very polite.”
“They have a wood working vocational training program that teaches you employable skills and then connect you with employers in the industry. They are a non profit associated with Mel trotter ministries and is full of wonderful, kind, knowledgeable people. I have participated in the program and currently work In production here and it is a wonderful place.”
“I took an Adult CPR/First Aid/AED class here, the trainer was amazing, I left feeling confident in my skills! He was straight forward and very patient with everyone.”
“Absolutely awesome place. Everyone is super knowledgeable and willing to help. Josh is the man. I walked in with a rough idea of the specs I needed and he relayed that to the workshop and within a few days I had a the exact machine I was looking for. I can't recommend Comprenew enough.”
“Best Goodwill in the Grand Rapids area. The store is decent sized and more of the donations that make it on the floor are nicer than a lot of the other locations so you aren't searching through mostly junk just to find something worth buying. I miss the days before Goodwill had an online store though because they put all the best stuff online which doesn't usually seem worth it, especially when factoring in shipping. I also wouldn't donate to Goodwill but I'll still shop here, at least until the prices raise to the point of it no longer being appealing for me.”
