Felt like Girl Scout Camp as an adult. Read a book on the porch & enjoyed the view of Grand Lake. Kayaks were provided for an evening paddle. Food & service was enjoyable. Many families were there. Peaceful atmosphere!! Would like to make this an annual get away.

$530 for two people for a weekend. Extremely overpriced and prices didn't match web site rates. Changed breakfast hours by posting a notice in a low visibility area so we missed that. Mostly ran by kids that don't know what's going on.

This is a wonderful trip back in time. Resort is 100 year old log cabin. Many families have been coming every year for more than 20 or 30 years. Beyond reasonably priced. Very dog friendly with no additional fees. Take a break from Tech with no internet or TV. Kids actually go outside and play!
Set dinner menu and cooked to order breakfast included with your stay. Highly recommend x 10!

This is a unique and very homelike place to stay. We booked at a very busy time, so we were in the upstairs part which is several rooms in a hallway with a shared bath, each room had a dresser and bed and were very much like a bedroom in a big house. Perfect for 4 guys on a fishing trip.

We love coming to eat at the Fireside restaurant with the lake view. At breakfast, it is all you can eat for one price, whatever you order. Highly recommend the French Toast, it is always amazing!

We've been going for about 15 years. We love the staff, atmosphere and all you can eat meals. It's rustic and picturesque. We love the simplicity and feeing of being family. Our only critique is we would love to be able to use our credit cards.

The reviews speak for themselves. It's hard to put into words how wonderful Fireside is. You have to experience to understand. From the staff to the guests, you'll have a great time. There's a reason families continue to return year after year. Your kids will have a blast and so will you. I've traveled all over and the Fireside Inn will always have a place in my heart.

This place is amazing! It sets on Grand lake in Michigan presque Isle. With log cabins you can rent. It's a very rustic setting. Breakfast and dinner are served. This is our second year going! And we've already made reservations for next year! A perfect place for the kids. They provide kayaks canoes paddle boats and they're all free. Seriously check out their website it is an amazing place for a vacation.

I will always claim Fireside chose us, not we chose it necessarily! Had a last minute cancellation on our Alpena Airbnb and needed new accomodations. We were lucky they had a cancellation and we ended up in a lovely little cabin with a fireplace and a screened-in front porch, a beautiful view of Grand Lake, and a wonderful staff to take care of our needs. The restaurant food was delicious, thank you! Thank you for welcoming The Sloans as a part of your extended family! We look forward to coming back for the Harsens Island Revenge premier! Will book our lucky cabin 7 as soon as we know when it will be! ?
