“Five stars really isn't enough! I was up near Reed City over the weekend for a 3day horse clinic when I ran up to the store to grab some supplies and my car wouldn't start. I had just had my starter go in my car the week prior and my local mechanic put a new one in. So, I was in a bit of a panic being 3hrs from home, a clinic that started in less than a hour and a horse I couldn't get back to. That's when I found out Reed City has the nicest people!! Just about everyone who walked out of the store offered me help. Even the employees came out to offer me help. Every single person suggested I took my car up to Reed City Auto because he was so fair, honest and excellent at what he does. I have honestly never heard so many nice things about a person and their business. An amazing young man wiggled his way under my low to the ground Tahoe and got it to start, so I headed right to Reed City Auto. He was busy but got my car in quickly. Turns out my mechanic had broken off a clip on the new cheap aftermarket (he didn't tell me it was after market) starter he put in and just left it like that, so it worked its way out. He offered to try to repair the clip to save me some money but I decided to just have him put a better starter in. So he put a new and better starter in for the same price my other mechanic charged me. Which just proves how honest and fair he is. Not only did he not charge me a "tourist" fee or a "rushed" fee but I got a better starter for the same price my mechanic charged me for an aftermarket. Within an hour I was back on the road. I get all the hype with Reed City Auto now! Just sitting their I got to watch the interactions he had with all his customers. He was busy but still took a minute to stop and talk to every customer. You could tell the respect they all had for him and him for them... it almost had a barbershop feel. I'm sad this shop is so far from home because I feel like when someone asks me for suggestions on a good mechanic, all I have is Reed City Auto ? Seriously, I can't thank him and his team enough.. and also the amazing people who helped me in the parking lot at Family Farm! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!”
