“Beside the rolling hills where summers fade,
The Cannonsburg Bottle Shop stands in the shade.
A wooden haven by the winding road,
Where weary travelers lighten up their load.
For decades watching over local lanes,
Through winter blizzards and the autumn rains.
Step through the door and hear the floorboards creak,
The sanctuary that the neighbors seek.
The coolers hum a low and steady song,
Where craft brews wait and memories belong.
From Michigan IPAs of pine and gold,
To vintage wines and stories left untold.
It’s more than just a place to buy a drink,
It’s where the hurried world slows down to think.
The skiers stopping after winter trails,
To trade their laughter and their snowy tales.
The summer kayakers with sunburned skin,
Who grab a cold one as the nights begin.
The shelves are stacked with spirits clear and bright,
A neon sign that flickers through the night.
The counter holds a wealth of local news,
Of missing dogs and shifting political views.
A friendly nod, a casual, knowing word,
The sweetest gossip that you ever heard.
When twilight settles over Cannonsburg,
And evening calls without a single word,
The Bottle Shop glows warm against the dark,
A steady, comforting, and local spark.
They keep the spirits high, the coolers cold,
A timeless treasure made of country gold.”

“I walked inside for lunch and I was greeted by 2 employees that were happy and positive. I ordered a pizza and checked out the impressive fishing section while I waited for my food. I had some small talk with the woman at the counter who told me the history of the store. I had a brief conversation with the owner who seems very genuine. I grabbed a couple lures and left with my pizza thinking to myself "you don't find many stores like this anymore". You're doing it right! Keep doing what you're doing.”

“Top stop is a great store. And there's a young lady that works in afternoon. That is a true God sent. A blessing to those who know. We need more people like her. The world would be a better place. My cudos. To staff. God bless”

“A+++++ Ago is a whisper, a distance we trace,
The shadow defining a shift in the space
Between this very moment and what used to be,
A measure of time, immense and yet free.
It's not just an hour, a week, or a year,
But a quiet removal of what we held dear,
A vault in the mind where the past is conserved,
The essence of things that were wholly observed.
The feel of the pavement, the scent of the rain,
A singular moment of triumph and pain.
The voice of a loved one, a melody lost,
A ship on the current that time quickly tossed
Beyond the bright shores of the present-day sun,
To a place in our memory that's patiently won.
It gathers the moments, the great and the small,
The promises spoken, the rise and the fall.
And so ago settles, a gentle, fine dust,
On history's pages, on love and on trust.
It proves that the passing is never complete,
For the ghost of that moment is timelessly sweet.
It lives in the telling, it waits to return,
A lesson, a beauty, a fire to burn.
The beautiful chamber where memories reside,
Held safely in time, where they constantly guide.”
