Royal Oak Gym is a popular, no-frills fitness center known for its wide range of equipment and focus on strength training. The gym caters to various fitness enthusiasts, from powerlifters and bodybuilders to those seeking a solid workout environment. It offers a classic gym atmosphere with plenty of equipment, making it suitable for serious strength training. The staff, including friendly personnel, provide good service and support. However, the gym faces issues with cleanliness and equipment maintenance. Many machines and treadmills are broken or not working properly, and the facility often appears dirty, especially the bathrooms and equipment surfaces. Some reviewers express frustration over the lack of regular cleaning and maintenance, which has been ongoing for over two years. Despite recent price increases—daily memberships rising from $5 to $8 and monthly fees from $30 to $35—the gym remains affordable and offers month-to-month memberships without contracts. While the environment can be rough and cluttered, with weights often left unracked, the gym’s environment appeals to those who appreciate a no-nonsense, old-school approach to bodybuilding and strength training. Overall, Royal Oak Gym is a budget-friendly choice for serious lifters who prioritize equipment variety and a traditional gym vibe, though improvements in cleanliness and equipment upkeep are needed.
Absolutely Disgusting Lifts with an absolutely disgusting bathroom. They got old school nautilus pull over and leg curl perfect for an old school heavy duty pump. Awesome place to lift seriously
