“I have three rescued dogs, two females, one, my lab, is young and goes into heat so I have to keep the male separated from the girls inside. He has been living in an enclosed porch. It’s warmer there than outside but he was still needed to come in. I went to the humane society to surrender him with the request to adopt him once he has been vaxed and neutered. But they surprised me and scheduled him free of charge for his surgery. Within a week he received the care and came home to a welcome inside. He’s rescued and then saved. Finally a happy young potty.”

“I foster with HSHV and they are very supportive, helpful, and put the animals first always. They even have special educational and fun holiday events for the foster volunteers so you get to meet the team that helps you and other fosters.
In addition to my foster dog my family has an adopted dog from here. We walked in to adopt one day, took her home, and she’s our favourite “person” ever since.”

“We adopted a cat who had a complicated medical history, and Compassionate Care has been wonderful. The pulse wave therapy worked wonders for our kitty who had her hip joint removed, a messed up ankle (on the other side!) and a broken pelvis. I was skeptical of the treatment, honestly, but not any more! It really helped our little girl, who is now living her best life!”
“Update: My dog crossed the rainbow bridge in 2025, VetSelect had been her pcp, they took very good care of her through the years. Never pushy and always kind and supportive. They helped my family through a very hard day when she passed. The staff here are amazing. I have recently gotten a kitten and they are caring for him as well. If you have a four- legged family member, go see them.
Love this vet office and staff! My dog was scared her first visit here and the staff was very accomodating. They are friendly, prompt and willing to answer any questions and take all the time you need to make you and your fur baby comfortable. I cannot say enough good things about the ladies here!”
“Best vet in the area for exotics! I take both my rabbits and my birds here. A few days ago, I woke up to my rabbit Olive not wanting her breakfast. This is extremely unusual for her. She didn't even want a treat, which is when I knew something was absolutely wrong. So without hesitation, I called all creatures, and they had a cancelation and were able to get me in. The doctor and the staff truly go out of their way to make you feel like they truly care about your fur baby. When we walked in, there was a sign welcoming Olive. The little things like that are why I love this vet so much. To add, the doctor was very gentle and throughout along with the techs. They did an amazing job, and a few days later my baby Olive is back to herself! I truly want to say thank you to the doctor that day! Without her, my baby might not be okay right now. One last thing, this place has amazing prices! Once I got the final bill, I was surprised at how cheap it was! Overall, I am thankful to have found this place. I will definitely continue to bring my exotics here! Thank you all for being the best!”

“I can’t say enough about how wonderful this clinic is. Dr. G and the technicians are truly compassionate and caring. My dog needs to be sedated for grooming due to past trauma that left him fearful of people, and Dr. G has helped us in ways no one else would—or even understood. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind, and every technician who has cared for our little guy has been the same.
They’re also honest—no overcharging, no pressure, and no pushing services we don’t want. We’re so grateful this clinic is close to us, and I honestly can’t imagine taking my dog anywhere else. Thank you!”
“On Saturday 6/7/25 I had to have my 17 yr old cat Georgio put down. Dr Myers and her tech Ashlie were absolutely phenomenal. Although I am heartbroken to lose my baby. They made him very comfortable. Explained everything very well. They even made me a heart with his paw print, his name and little hearts. I meant alot to us. Thank you ❤️”

“I took my rabbit here for the first time, and even though my rabbit was in a horrible mood, the vet was still able to do what needed to get done! I am so pleased with that. There was a few other pets I got to see come in and I feel bad that Daffodil was so grumpy because every other pet was on their best behavior. We didn't have to wait for a room, intake was simple, and paying the deposit at time of scheduling was perfect as they put the deposit towards your first visit. Will be coming back!”
“We have taken our French/English bulldog mix to Meadowbrook for ten years now, and they always make visits easy and they’re super friendly. They make it a breeze to get prescriptions filled, and they helped us get through some allergy emergencies. But our dog Pepper is doing extremely well now and has more energy like he’s a puppy again.”
“First off let me say that I requested info from about six Veterinary clinics in the South Lyon area. The folks here got back to me within a day and answered all my questions. Still waiting to hear from some. We had our first appointment on May 12th and we couldn’t be happier. The front staff was friendly and you could tell that they enjoyed their jobs. Dr. Henderson took all the time we needed to answer our questions and the techs were exceptional as well. I highly recommend this facility to care for your pets.”

Dr. Moran and her team are simply outstanding. From the moment we received Bisbee’s diabetes diagnosis, Dr. Moran was with us every step of the way. Her attention to detail and genuine compassion truly set her apart. She even took the time to call us on a Saturday morning to check in on Bisbee, ensuring we were comfortable with administering her insulin injections.
Grace, her assistant, is equally wonderful—patient, communicative, and so supportive. She even offered we needed extra help learning the injection process. This clinic goes above and beyond in caring for their patients. I only wish I could find human doctors who cared as much as Dr. Moran and her team do. Highly recommend!””

“Our cat was throwing up all day. Our normal vet did not have any open appointments. Dandy Acres was able to see her immediately. The concern they showed for her was touching. They provided a couple of care plans and there was no pressure to choose the more expensive one. In the end we ended up with a plan in the middle.
They called the next day check on our cat. Later that day when our cat was still not recovering well (she was significantly better than the day before, but still far from back to normal) they said I could pick up some additional meds from their sister hospital in Novi which is closer to my house. They said they did not want to stress our cat more by bringing her in. Again, their concern for the well being of her was heart warming.
I would not hesitate to take her or her sister the Dany Acres again.”

“Dr Cavender began taking care of my beloved dog of 15 years of May 2025. My dog severed from severe arthritis, extreme joint pain, and inability to eat. Dr Cavender was amazing with giving my dog comfort to live without pain until my son was ready to let our good girl go. When it came to be that Bear could no longer function with dignity, Mount Salem Veterinary took the upmost care that they could have for my family member. My girl Bear was given the upmost care that she could have been given for the end of her life. I am eternally grateful for the care Salem Veterinary gave to my Bear.”
