“My husband and I came up to the UP from Grand rapids and we took a stop at the Eagle Overlook which is about 17 minutes away from this gas station, our car battery died while we were hiking and didn't have a battery jumper so I called and asked if there was anyone able to help jump our car and a man named Ryan was very kind and drove out to us to give us a jump. a big Thank you to Ryan and a thank you to Beacon and Bridge for allowing him to come and help us.”

“Because I live close by I frequent this store a lot. The people are very accommodating in any way they can be. The restrooms are closed because of the BS pandemic so I am fine with it. The store is well stocked with the normal convenience store items as well as a small deli with some fantastic food choices.”

“The place was really clean, I liked how the bathrooms had both paper towels and the air dryer. They only had one person on the register though and there was a long line. Overall, great gas station.”
“The employee stocking the store after close was a life saver. We took Google Maps' word that the Shell station in Kalkaska was open 24 hours a day when our low fuel light came on while pulling our trailer (meaning we had about 25 miles left and nothing had been open in the previous 30 miles). It wasn't open, but driving back through town, we saw her in the store. She was kind enough to open a pump back up for us, let us fill our tank, and allowed us to finish the rest of our trip to Graying. Thank you so much!!!”
“I want to sincerely thank the staff of Rite Aid pharmacy in Kalkaska. I was recently stranded by the airline meltdown and needed a few extra days of medications due to the extended unplanned stay. The staff were friendly and so helpful despite the challenges the store is going through with inventory. They quickly got me the medications I needed and went out of their way to make it easy. “So yesterday we stopped at the Sunoco at corner of Boardman and 66...sandwiches were terrible. Today we stopped her at the Country Market and the sandwiches were 10X better and the lady behind the counter was very sweet and hospitable!!!”
