I wish I could rate this place in the negative. Neither one of the guys working there knows what they're talking about. I needed a screen replaced & all they did was brake my laptop further.Then when they couldn't figure it out, they said it must be a motherboard issue. SMHNot to mention the store smells like mold & sewage.After reading some of the other reviews, it seems to be a reoccurring thing to just say it's the motherboard..Their goal is to just take advantage of you & hope you're dumb enough or desperate enough to fall for their scam.

They are friendly and fast. They fixed my laptop twice now. I'm happy I choose to take it there instead of best buy. Southgate Computers fixes them in-house :) i will continue to trust them with my laptop and wont go anywhere else.

SOUTHGATE COMPUTERS purchases fake reviews, overcharge for parts and have no technical skills on actually repairing hardware, they just replace components in their entirety, instead of learning how to solder. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I have purchased two computer systems from Southgate Computers. The quality of the builds is excellent. The first computer I purchased lasted 11 years. The second computer has given me faithful service for 7 years (so far). I have appreciated their advice and service for maintaining several other computers.

I will say I believe I was having an issue with just my monitors, And then they did go above what I expected, Just settings things into place and letting me know that everything was okay. I brung in my box to protect it and they willingly excepted it. with no extra cost, got it back the next day. for a good price.

My cat had knocked down my laptop and, unbeknownst to me, knocked my boot drive SATA cable loose. As I did not know much about computers at the time, I decided to take it to Southgate Computers, as they were my only nearby option. Upon bringing it in, I was told it would cost $200 and take 2 weeks to fix the problem. This is before they even took a look inside the computer to properly diagnose the issue. I ended up taking it home and contacting ACER, who let me ship it to them for free, and sent it back all within a week, and fixed the problem.Being told that plugging in a cable would cost $200 and take 2 weeks to fix is ridiculous. After having learned more about computers and how to build them, I am concerned at the number of people who don't know better that they may have charged too much for small projects.

The only place I go to for repairs and new product. Honest and they shoot it to you straight. No BS. They have restored damaged computers and provided me a fantastic new laptop. Shop local and do yourself a favor.
