Rude staff. Incapable of answering a question without a condescending attitude. It took 14 days for a letter I mailed from Southgate to get to its destination 150 miles North, still in Michigan! No wonder people aren't using the United States Postal Service!

Went to PO to pick up my mail around 2pm 7-28-25. Already had 10 people in line. One person working and people just kept trickling in. That poor employee working by himself couldn't catch a break. He was very kind and helpful but I felt just awful for him. Whoever the manager is of that facility quit abusing your employees. Manage your staff to accommodate busy times. It's not rocket science.

Employees were very nice however management is unhelpful and rude to Employees was very disappointed to witness this today male manager screamed im busy when an employee knocked on office door. A few minutes later hear him laughing and joking with whoever was inside

Consistently delivering mail to the wrong address. I’ve had neighbors bring me my mail that was in their mailbox, or I just don’t receive certain mail pieces.

Haven’t been in the post office in a couple years. Where did all the friendly employees go? I was only mailing an envelope the girl I got mumbled when I told her I couldn’t understand her she said then read the screen! Sorry speak louder and clearly. Please train your employees to be a little friendlier.

i do give this a 1 star for that fact sometimes i walk up in there and theres literally 1 person working with lines out the dang door and when theres only 1 worker trying to to packages and passports and who knows what else yes its ridiculous. even when there is 2or 3 workers there still very slow they act like they have no idea where things are and then they gotta walk away to find things moving as fast as a turtle definitely a horrible place for shipping

Had an appointment with USPS today for a passport! I was greeted by Ben and was greatly taken care of! Please have patience with these guys. They’re the reason our mail system is secured. Thanks again

I waited in line for what felt like 20 to 30 minutes as the line grew SO big it spilled outside the door! A manager was working one counter and though he was very nice and thorough he was extremely SLOW showing NO SIGNS OF URGENCY that the line kept growing! The lady at the other counter who, was slightly rude and also showed NO SIGNS OF URGENCY, walked away and seemingly took her break right as the line was getting big. I don't blame her if she took her break but NO ONE from the back room came to fill in?!?! We could hear people in the back, we didn't even know she was taking break she just walked away and to put a cherry on top of it all a food delivery driver walked in to deliver her food while we watched! I'm not even sure if she took an official break or just left her post to get her food because she came back within 10-15 minutes.
A manager was running the counter never communicating to us about being short staffed or sorry for the wait...nothing. The line got bigger and bigger with no communication or apologies from the staff, seemingly NO URGENCY and the manager running the counter was even asking customers extra questions about their packages being overly thorough almost chit chatting with people as if having zero awareness of massive line which people started walking out of after it was bursting out of the doors. I loved this post office and it used to be great! After this experience I will be going to another location today even though this one is very close to my home. It is very sad but I only decided to write this review in hopes that it will help actually fix the problem and this office will care enough to make the necessary changes. I REALLY hope they fix these issues because I love this office and really want to go back but will not if they don't change how they operate.

If I could give Zero stars I would. I’ve been trying to get ahold of someone since Saturday. I know they aren’t open on Sundays. But it feels like they aren’t open at all. Trying to call and get someone on the phone is impossible. What’s the point of having a phone number, if they never answer. This is my second delivery issue this week.

If I could give Zero Stars I would! The staff here is always rude but today the gal behind the counter went out of her way to be extra rude to everyone! I try to avoid this location for this reason. Someone needed a pen. “We don’t provide pens!” A older gentleman needed a piece of tape of tape. “We don’t provide tape!” Maybe she shouldn’t work there if she doesn’t know how to interact with people. Perhaps a class that addresses social skills would help these employees.

ZERO Stars!!! One terrible post office!! I will be contacting that MDCR to file a complaint!! This office always finds their way of not delivering my mail and I was treated very horrible on the phone as well very unprofessional also had the audacity to hang up on me very great customer service, one thing Im not going to do is let it go!! I expressed that I have a infant child and the mail came in her name why I don't know but it was a problem so Jason the carrier decided not to deliver or whomever was the carrier 3 days ago they decided to keep my daughter mail but constantly delivers mail for someone who lived at my address 8 yrs ago, I would say the name but I have proof so Ill save that for another day! I was told the mail that is delivered needs to have the name on the boxes quite funny when the women that stayed at my home 8 yrs ago name not on my box but yet and still mail is being delivered, not delivering my mail out of spike and pure ignorance! Very HILARIOUS AND A MAJOR JOKE! Make it make sense stand on what you tell customers because in this very moment a complete lie was told to me and I was treated badly because of it!! Everything in this post office is a GAME!!

Ben is wonderful! I had him as my clerk today and he caught a critical mistake. Had he not caught it sensitive information could have ended up in the wrong hands. On top of that he was personable, efficient, and kind. He explained the services available for me to get this mailed. He was patient with me. I will choose this post office in the future.

I would give this local office a zero rating if I could. I have had nothing but issues with them since I moved to this city. They have delivered my mail to the wrong addresses (I even know which postal person did this thanks to cameras on my porch), they lost legal documents I was waiting for and claimed that they were forwarded from my old address (which is a service I paid for) and they recently lost a package of mine. They can't give me any updates on where it is and have closed my case three times stating they gave me the only information they had. I asked that they send me an email stating they lost my package so I could get a refund or replacement from the company I bought from. Instead they told me they had 30 days to forward a package. I let them know I would not be able to get a refund after 30 days. The next response had a comment about how I should have had all my address information updated by now even though I paid for forwarding services. These responses didn't come from their 800 costumer service (they were wonderful and even stated that they local office wasn't supposed to close my case with out detailed information) but it came from the Southgate office.
They are rude and take no responsibility.
Oh and when I told them I was still having my old neighbors pull mail from my old mail box on the occasion they told me that all my mail was being forwarded like it was supposed to be.
There is so much more that happened that I won't even get into here.
