“Very cool local franchise with solid inventory of choices. Dog and cat food mainly, they do have other supplies. Lots of extras and services available, worth looking around, reading signage, and definitely asking questions.
While there are a few kibble brands I don't find there, they have several I do like. And with a loyalty program between the stores, it makes my life a bit easier.”
“My daughter wanted a fish for her 11th birthday, so we went to Pet Haven to do some shopping.
She ended up with a gorgeous gorgeous fish and could be happier. He is a beautiful betta. Cal, the owner, was happy to show us everything we were looking for and answer as many questions as we could come up with.
This store is a Sterling Heights institution and I highly recommend coming here for fish needs! He has been in that location for 51 years!”

“Thank you for your help! We called for medicated shampoo for our dog and the customer service was excellent. Gave us a bunch of information and tips and we have been consistent with the shampoo and have noticed a lot of change in the color of my dog paws in the first 1-2 use. She wouldn’t stop biting and licking her paws to the point she was bleeding and nothing was working. But thanks to the wonderful employee here that helped us we are now getting her paws back to normal! Appreciate the help. 10/10”

“Hands down the BEST pet store I've ever been to, and I've been to many. They carry brands that many other stores do not but what makes this location so special is the employees. Every single employee is kind to the customers, efficient and knowledgeable about all of the products. There is a true community feel here and I buy all of my pet things here. A special thank you to managers Christen and Sarah. Because of them, I can bring my once very skittish and scared dog out into public. My dog was afraid of everything and when I first brought her to this store, Christen and Sarah were beyond patient and kind to her, day after day. Because of their kindness, patience and love, i can bring my dog into public without fear and I have them to thank. Every employee is an asset to this company. Thank you to Christen, Sarah, Juno, Lakila, Paige, Gabi, Carter, Miguel, Maddie, James, Dominic, Hailey, Riley, Chris and anyone whose name I forgot. “Walking in to Oceans and Seas is like walking into a dimly lit cave of wonder. Soft blue light emanates from the dozens of tanks that line the walls and shelves. Each tank is filled with everything from the common guppy to more exotic cichlids and their stock changes from week to week so you're never sure what you'll find.
It's a quiet shop. The vibe is low key. You won't be hounded by sales associates as you peruse the tanks, but you will need to seek someone out if you find something you want or have a question.
The more brightly lit part of the store contains tons of supplies as well as tanks and stands. Prices are reasonable and for the most part, they beat the prices of big box pet stores.
I've bought several fish from here and never had a problem with any of them. It's one of the only places I was able to find the lovely blood parrot cichlid and I have a total of 4 I purchased here, all thriving in my tank. Also was thrilled to find African Dwarf frogs here after checking around everywhere!
Definitely worth a visit or 2 or 3!”

“This easily has been the best local fish store to go to. For starters, Michelle has a mandatory quarantine on all arriving fish which unfortunately cannot be said from other fish stores in the area. She is incredibly knowledgeable, and I am sorry if other reviews seems to have a problem with this, she will bluntly say if anything is wrong with your setup, stock, or otherwise, which is EXACTLY the type of qualities you want from a local fish store owner. If she is saying no to you, it is for a really good reason and you should be listening to her.”

He did so much more by recommending a few products and explaining the difference. He was also a very sympathetic ear during a rough week for our dog. “Very cool, very friendly employees. Austin was great. Answered all of my questions and went above and beyond to show me different animals and teach me about them. Everyone there, even the customers, were outgoing and passionate. I felt very welcomed. I left with a new gecko who is in wonderful condition and settling in perfectly.
In response to some of the other reviews, I work in animal welfare and certainly didn’t get hit with a horrible “urine” smell here lol! It does smell like reptiles…but, obviously..? That was just my experience though.
It was very clear how much the animals are cared for. They were treating them all like their own personal pets. Definitely recommend.”
