“As someone who only recently started getting interested in home defense and self-defense, I wasn’t even sure where to start. IFA Tactical was the right choice from the moment I walked in.

“So I'm going to preface this by saying I'm spoiled and biased because I used to work at one of the largest publically owned ranges in the US. Nothing will ever live up to that. But that being said, this is a wonderful range. I have done both sporting clay courses and the sporting clay field now, and I have used the rifle and pistol range, and they have really done well by me. I haven't tried the 5 stand yet, but I like the idea that there's actually a heated building you can stand in to shoot from. I really like how on the main range you can set the targets at whatever distance you want (max 100 yards, of course.) The clay courses are top notch. It's really cool being able to walk through the woods and shoot clays from all the different directions and stuff, and a lot of them are nice and challenging.
If I could ask for one improvement for the clays, it would be I wish there was an actual legitimate skeet setup. The term skeet gets used interchangeably with trap and sporting clays, but those are all completely different things. I want to be able to shoot a legitimate round of skeet; skeet is so much fun but it's a very specific setup and has a specific procedure, and I miss being able to do that. I'm sure there's people who would love to be able to shoot trap too, but I like skeet personally.
If I had to ask for a few improvements of the rifle/pistol portion, they would be these:
A. I wish we could shoot faster. Things like binaries and forced reset triggers should be welcome there, especially if you're seated while shooting them, there's literally no reason we shouldn't be able to shoot those.
B. It would be nice to shoot longer range. I know that's a tall order and probably isn't logistically possible there, but more than 100 yards for rifle would really be nice.
C. I wish there was steel to shoot at. Whether that's by way of a separate steel target range or the ability to set up steel on the main range, I don't think that matters, but steel would be nice to shoot at too.
All in all, 5 stars for sure, excellent range. Reasonable prices, nice set ups, and lots of options are available. All of the employees I've had the pleasure of talking to have all been really cool people too. It's also cool that there's a gun/ammo store in the office there.

“Very laid back small store vibe in a large'ish store setting.
Went here to get my sons set up to get into bow hunting. While selection was slim, this is why the store gets 4 stars and not 5, they both got what they needed to get started.
Hunter in the archery department is awesome. He was super patient with my sons, got them set up and ready to go with no pressure. Very chill and happy to share his knowledge, total class act.”
