The owner of J&C was very accommodating of our long distance situation and was great to work with as we tried to figure our options of what to do with the vehicle (ie fix there vs tow home to get fixed)! Definitely showed genuine heart for us!”

“Shredded a serpentine belt on a trashed idler on highway 75. Got a hold of Bob to see if he could do it. We were 90 minutes from home and it was already 4:30. We got our FJ over to him, he assessed the issue, got the parts and had us back on the road in 2 hours. Thanks Bob!!”

“I had a breakdown on I-75 while driving downstate and ended up being towed to Ed's shop. The car was beyond repair so my two kids and I ended up hanging out at Ed's all day while waiting to get picked up. Ed went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and even kept the shop open late for us while we were waiting for a ride from downstate. He later gave me a straightforward assessment of what it would take to repair the car. Turns out it wasn't worth fixing, but Ed kept it on his lot and put me in contact with the scrapyard there in Gaylord. So while I can't comment on Ed's professional skills, I will say that the way he treated me and my kids while we were having a tough day was really above and beyond. I'm a small business owner too, and I really appreciate this level of customer care and attention. If I lived around Gaylord, Ed would be my mechanic.”
“Me and my friends went on a day trip to traverse city to do some shopping, we are from across the bridge so not familiar with the area.. Well we ended up in a ditch and messed up our axle and alignment and Control arms. We called all around and no where could help us out.. a tow all the way back home would have cost an arm and a leg, we called bob and he got us in right away he ordered our parts and had them delivered the next morning worked on our car all night and morning. He even helped get us a hotel and got us a discount on the room! He really saved us. We made it back home safely and are extremely thankful for him. Ps has the cutest pup ever.❤️”

“I had a emergency brake problem while traveling on I75. Called another auto repair place in Wolverine and they were unable to get us in. Next we called Sturgeon Valley and they offered advice, got my car immediately in, throughly looked it over and fixed it. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. He didn’t try to sell us parts we didn’t need and charged us a price that was completely reasonable. I’m so happy we went here.”

“Stopped in just for gas and the first thing I noticed as I was walking inside to pay was every single trash can was either full or overflowing with trash. Truth of the matter is nobody likes to take out trash. But it should be getting done on each shift. Other than that if it wasn’t for the friendly cashier I would’ve rated this gas station maybe 2 stars. Cleanliness is huge!”

“Tried taking my Volvo for an oil change to another spot in town and they claimed I wouldn't find anywhere in town that would be able to do it. I went to this spot and was greeted with a hearty "Challenge accepted!". They were great. Fast, thorough, informative and funny. 10/10 customer service. I think I was there for less than 15 minutes. The other spot (I think it's called Quaker) took almost an hour to service my truck this summer. I'll be taking all of my vehicles to JLube (S&K Quicklube) from now on.”

“I have been shopping here for almost 8 years, the employees are amazing and very helpful. I get my prescriptions here ALWAYS! Richard the pharmacist is extremely helpful and so are Austin and the lady pharmacist. I do not care for James, the pharmacist, he ALWAYS makes me feel uncomfortable, when I pick up my pain medicine! I never ask for it sooner that the time, he questions me as if I'm an addict and in the store everyday asking for pain meds. I have NOT EVER experienced that ANYWHERE! He does not belong at this pharmacy, where all the other employees are nice, helpful and Always concerned about how a person is doing! Thanks to MICHELLE, SHARON, GWEN AND SARAH FOR ALWAYS BEING FRIENDLY, POLITE, HELPFUL AND CARING! YOU MAKE MY EXPERIENCE SO PLEASENT!”

“While traveling North on I75 the wheel bearing on my truck went out. I was able to limp the truck to their shop where they pushed what they were working on out of the way to get me back on the road as soon as possible. I hope I never break down on the highway again, but if I do, I hope it's in the Gaylord area!”
