Alpine Valley is a great ski resort and one of the nicest places for beginners, providing a perfect place for learning. It is well-organized and not much crowded, with very few people and lines that are not too long. The lifts are swift, with no wait time for rentals and fast entry onto the ramps. The trails, like Ballhooter, feel bold and strong, offering blue trails that flow smooth and wide and black runs that test the brave. The facility is one of the best, featuring a very nice lodge that is warm, with multiple large rooms, each with a fireplace and a retro 60’s vibe. There are many tables for families, and guests can bring in outside food to any area. The lodge includes a food concessions area and a beautiful bar with another fireplace, and kids are allowed in the bar area. Large windows throughout overlook the ski hills. Helpful staff and medic people are friendly and maintain safe conditions for everyone. While the Midwest hills may lack Western might, the place still roars with winter’s fierce delight, offering a fun and pleasant experience. Some note the bathrooms could use maintenance.

They were also kind enough to give me pointers on how to ski, which I needed. They were two very outstanding individuals. Thank... read full comment

Fun runs, bumps, and rails. Kids looked like they were having a blast. Love that it’s open until nighttime!
