“I am always looking for less “corporate” thrift stores. This place is a gem where you can actually get a good deal, find more unique selection than what you see at goodwill if your into that kind of thing like me, and support a local business. Very well organized, I did get a bit confused about some of the half off this color sticker but some were also marked to the discounted price with a similar color sticker. Small constructive criticism. I think it would be easy to miss but there is also a basement section too. Much bigger than it looks on the outside.”

“Renata is amazingly helpful and Gabe is always pleasant. The store is always clean and organized. When I asked Renata’s name so I could leave a review for her, all of the employees were singing her praises. She’s the manager here and apparently she’s adored by her employees. Super refreshing!”

“I love this store! It is a great place to get budget friendly clothes for my ever growing baby. They do a great job organizing the store and making sure their products are in good shape. There is none of the “stink” or overload that you sometimes get at other thrift stores”

“Fun thrift store with lots to choose from! Lots and lots of clothing and shoes for the family, plus sizes included, and you can even find a whole section with medical scrubs for those who work in health care. Tons of vintage clothing, dresses, boutique style items, and even more are available. Jewelry, books, small electronics, greeting cards, CDs, household and kitchen items, linens and more round out the offerings. There are some great sales and the store sometimes even has a party feel to it - in a great way as old and new customers come in and are welcomed.”

“They are always quick to sort through my clothes and offer me fair prices (especially compared with other consignments like Plato’s.) I love the option to get higher value in store credit when selling clothes, and that they easily donate all my clothes for me afterwards!”

“I have been going to the Goodwill in Standale since it opened. I enjoy going there. The managers are very nice and knowledgeable. The workers are very nice and willing to help. Many a time I have asked what they think of a shirt, skirt, and even pictures for my walls. A few days ago I was there shopping and found a very nice tray with a bird on it. I was done shopping. I was towards the back of the store and the young lady that was on register was handed up front from the back . I told her I was ready to check out and she said she would met me at the register. She walked up to her register a little faster than me. As I was going up to the register a lady walked in the door and quickly to the register. I was a few steps from her with the cart in front of me. The young lady at the register politely explained to her that I was next in line. The lady in a not so friendly voice said she was there first. Then she wanted to know how the register worker know I was next. Before the worker could explain that she and I walked from that back to the front after me saying I was ready to go to check me out, the lady forcefully stated that she wanted to talk to a Manger. Myself and the worker both said to her that the worker would be happy to help her. I explained to the lady that I had plenty of time and she could go ahead. I had one thing so I didn't mind waiting. The worker started to help her and the lady said no and she wanted the manager and she could help me. The worker called for the manager and checked me out. It took maybe 2 minutes to check me out. I am sorry that I did not stay to tell my side of what happened. I shop many Goodwill stores all over Michigan and still my GO TO STORE is the Goodwill in Standale.”

“***As of August 1st this store will no longer offer plastic pages. You can buy a nice reusable bag or bring your own.*** Great place, just love it. Always find some nice clothes at this location, they always have an awesome selection. Every time I go to this location I find an amazing Plus size dress! Got a brand new dress, with the tags still on it, for $6. It was originally $98.”

“Love this place, been shopping here for 30 years. If you haven't been in since their huge remodel make sure to put it on your To-Do list! It's almost twice as big now. Treasures abound!”

“I dont live here in Michigan. Ive been to this area twice for a conference. Found this treasure of a store. Friendly staff, amazing deals. Always always clean and organized. One of best goodwills i have ever been to.”

“Neat space with lots to look at. But the better items should be sold at auction, not at a thrift store. Prices were too high for me, so I didn't purchase anything.”

“?️‍⚧️?️‍? I felt comfortable shopping here.Lovely thrift store with a ton of neat stuff and good prices. Church-run but not in your face. Got a $5 off coupon for the next month so I'll definitely be back ?”

“TLDR; GREAT!About 25% menswear, 45% womens clothing, and 30% housewares. Small jewellery couter too.Pros: Weekly color tags. Better quality items then most SA stores. Cleanest SA I've ever been in. Great selection. Prices on half the items were good, the other half a bit higher than other SA. Employees were very helpful and attentive.Cons: Just a handful of items were unreasonably priced (IE: a simple sweater for $16 when most were only $3 to 5); never seen that before at an SA, it was really strange.”

“I stopped by the 4 Mile Goodwill on January 5 in a snow advisory. There were only 2 cars in the parking lot. It was a nice leisurely treasure hunting day! All the employees were rearranging things and having a nice work day. I imagine it is nice to have those days when it is not that busy to prepare for the busy days.”

“I love the Northridge store the best. Only reason gave a 4 star is because it's Saturday and you are closed. Would like your website to get the hrs on there.”

“Love this store. Always well organized and clean and great items people are willing to donate. I bought beautiful pale pink sweater and three semi-dress tops today. Regularly $8 a piece and today everything was 50% off. What a bargain with tax I bought all this for just about $17.”

“Stopped in to hunt for treasures with kid and friend, and we had the absolute PLEASURE of meeting Shaniqua, who absolutely made our whole day. She was so personable, friendly, and funny. We don't usually go to this location, but as long as she's working there, we'll be adding it to our rounds!”

“This is a nice Goodwill. I drove here several times from a distance and only found one item recently. Still, at least there was a variety of hard goods, not badly priced and I didn't fly in and out of the store. I stayed for a bit to consider some things. That's what a thrifter wants.”

“The store was bigger than I expected and had a pretty fair selection of clothes. We were greeted nicely by the workers when we entered. Overall a good thrift store :)”

“My mom and I shopped here for clothes to wear on our vacation (lots of mountain climbing and hiking). They had a decent selection for our sizes, but very little for for my kids (ages 8-14). The prices were fair and the staff was friendly.”

“Great place to find bargains. They are having a clothing sale off their already low price. And unlike bigger thrift stores, I trust my money is going to help others and not going in the CEO bank account. I don't get to this part of town but when I do, I find treasures! I love thrifting especially at this location. If you are in the area, stop in”

“This store seemed to have a lot of new items that in my opinion were overpriced for the quality of the items. I wish now that I had taken some pictures. Most of the new items I saw were Christmas decor.”

3.3 Good23 Reviews

“One of the few thrift stores around that still feels like a thrift store and not overpriced. Always well organized and love the $5 bag sales they have for clothes. Of course you will not always find something that is the reality of thrifting but I very rarely leave this location empty handed!”

“Wonderful and charming store. It's very well organized. The prices are on the higher end but the quality is excellent so it's worth the price! Very friendly service as well!”
