Jaques Art Center is a wonderful north country art experience in a historical site building. The staff is gracious, cordial, friendly, and knowledgeable. It holds the most extensive Jaques collection outside the Bell Museum and features rotating art exhibitions, like the 'Head in the Clouds' juried exhibit. The artwork, including oils, acrylics, photos, and sculpture, is absolutely amazing from extremely talented artists, with some available for purchase. The center is beautifully set up and maintained, not very big, and accessible. It runs on donations and volunteers, offers low-cost or free classes, and has a little gift shop with local artists' work. It is a little gem worth the visit.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the Centers history as well as the art work that it holds. Beautifully set up and maintained. All the art work is absolutely amazing; extremely talented artists.Although Francis Lee Jaques is my Great Uncle; I'd still feel this way if he wasn't.
