“Nine Lives is a fun and exciting place to shop. There’s always something new to see, and Roxanne and team are truly kind folks. I really enjoy my weekly trips I’ve been making lately, I feel welcomed and I always walk away from conversations feeling hopeful and inspired in some way or another. There’s definitely lots of love and good vibes here!
As a thrift store, where they rely solely on donors, I think they do a phenomenal job of sourcing a wide range of options that suits everyone! Well done Nine Lives!”
“Such an incredibly fun, unique store. Full of interesting, odd and silly finds. Everything from pool floaties to old pens to miscellaneous computer parts. I didn’t have my kids along, but I saw a family there with young kids and they LOVED getting to pick out little knick knacks. Everything is super reasonably priced and we loved reading all of the silly price cards. Would definitely recommend a stop if you are in the area. You won’t regret it.”
“Definitely a place you can loose hours in looking around. The random and useful things all over the store. You will find something that you didn't even know you wanted or needed every time”
“A wide variety of gently used high quality clothing. The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. I appreciate the fact they treat everyone with respect, I highly recommend this place. And I'd like to thank all of the volunteers!!”
“I ordered a Black Friday mystery bag, and they honestly slayed. I've already worn 2 of the items and gotten major compliments on them. The quality and styles are excellent!!”
“I’m addicted… to shopping here. Ya’ll pray for me! If I come home with another stack of records I won’t listen to, another vintage type writer, or more plates i don’t need, my wife gonna chop me up with one of the three sets of knives I bought here.
i have an unhealthy relationship with this store. don’t start because you won’t be able to stop coming here.
imma see you in the sports equipment section. i need football pads for protection when drop kick me.”
“If you’re willing to dig and look and have time and patience, this store is incredible! My daughter found many items for her junk journaling and other projects. It’s all recycled/used items, but the possibilities are endless! Such a fun store!”
“I love how the community collaboration between the donated and the handcrafted local artwork and living herbs and plants the unity in the conscious consumer and creator collective is unparalleled!”

“My experience here was absolutely great! Thank you very much to all the staff, especially to Mr. Aaron and another guy who answered all my questions. They were all so friendly and accommodating to my questions/requests. I will return here because my husband liked the chair I got. He might get the same thing.”
“Centsibly Chic is hands-down the best vintage thrift shop in West Saint Paul! The staff is absolutely wonderful—always welcoming and helpful—which makes hunting through their amazing selection of fun, unique treasures even more enjoyable. I’m constantly blown away by the incredible deals I find here; it’s the perfect spot to score high-quality vintage pieces without breaking the bank. Highly recommend stopping in!”
“This is my favorite thrift store. I almost always find what I'm looking for at a great price. The only downside is that there's no fitting room, but they have a generous 2 week exchange/store credit policy for clothes that don't fit.”
“My absolute favorite thrift store. Best prices, excellent selection, great employees, and a place that actually helps out the local community supporting our homeless neighbors with free clothing and lets them shop for what they want. You can always find something here.”
“Always caring staff, the Church staff from St.Olaf downtown and the Badilica of St.Mary also downtown inform about their services too, besides these churches own community outreach.”
“Love this spot! I usually purchase things off of their Instagram for pick up. The staff are so kind and are always cheerful when I stop in. The selection is definitely well thought-out and well-priced. You're able to get great clothes at fabulous prices.”
“Even if you don’t end up finding and buying something, this is an excellent place to just wander around and be amazed at the sheer quantity of *things*!
I also found a like new 3 hole punch here that w the orange sticker on that day was just .45¢ and they gave it to me for free!”
“Flamingos is an absolutely magical place! I love taking out-of-town visitors there to introduce them to the quirky, silly, fun side of Minneapolis. They are consistently blown away by both the vibes and the excellent selection of vintage wares. It’s always a joy to peruse each room, and I often do multiple laps per visit. There’s so much to see, and I’ve found some incredible pieces here. My favorite finds are a glass butterfly lamp, a handmade teapot, two vintage teal wooden chairs, and a lovely original painting. My partner has found some incredible vintage men’s clothes too, especially flannels.”
“Great selection! Some of the reviewers here clearly don’t know the effort that goes into not just being a shop, but also PRIMARILY a safe space for many women to gather. Me being a customer comes secondarily to me financially supporting this space.”
“The absolute lowest prices of any Twin Cities thrift store, and everything is well-organized and easy to browse. Excellent selection of women's clothing including high-end brands, plus jewelry, toys, games, puzzles, books, movies, housewares, home decor, and even greeting cards. The store is clean, pleasant, and regularly restocked with high-quality items.
Your purchases support a women's center that stands out by supporting moms and families until children reach preschool age—not just through pregnancy. Great finds at unbeatable prices while supporting a wonderful cause.”
“This place is a dream!!! There are bins in the basement level that will consistently be worth the price. And the upper level is new target stuff with tags still on it but marked down! You’re also in a prime area to go get a coffee before or after this thrift!”

“Great place. Big, spacious and has a variety of items that change constantly. The shop people are always helpful and pretty cherry. If you need furniture, paint, building materials, lighting, etc - it's a good way to help your community and find a treasure. Donating is easy also. Plenty of parking and wheelchair accessible on the west side of the building.”

“I really enjoy shopping at the Salvation Army Thrift Store! They have some great vintage finds if you take the time to look. I also love their weekly discounts—children's clothing is half off on Tuesdays, and students get 25% off on Thursdays. Plus, they have a good selection of household items at reasonable prices. Always worth a visit if you're hunting for unique treasures or shopping on a budget.”
“This is a conveniently located thrift store with easy access and a dedicated parking lot, making arrival and entry straightforward. The availability of parking helps reduce some of the common barriers associated with visiting thrift stores, especially during busier periods. Visiting on a Saturday afternoon, the store had a steady flow of customers, but it remained possible to browse comfortably without feeling overly crowded.
The store offers a range of secondhand clothing, household goods, and miscellaneous items typical of a Goodwill location. Prices were generally fair and consistent with expectations for a nonprofit thrift store, providing opportunities for affordable purchases across a variety of categories. Items were organized in a way that made browsing manageable, allowing customers to move through sections efficiently.
One notable limitation is the absence of fitting rooms. This makes it more difficult to evaluate clothing fit prior to purchase and may require customers to make decisions without trying items on. For shoppers focused on clothing, this could impact the overall convenience of the experience.
Overall, the Arden Hills Goodwill provides a functional thrift shopping environment with fair pricing and easy parking access. While the lack of fitting rooms may reduce convenience for some shoppers, the store remains a practical option for those looking to browse secondhand goods. The steady but manageable level of activity on a Saturday afternoon reflects its role as a regularly used community thrift store.”
