This year has been pretty disappointing with many of the trips to menards ended up with either going on a wild goose chase or not having the product that their website says is in stock. Tried ordering online so that I knew it would be ready only to be thwarted by some items in the backyard you still have to pull yourself. And if you're in the backyard there is always someone waiting to be loaded or needing help loading because all the employees are to lazy to get off the forklift to help their customers. I think I w actually spent more to helping load other peoples truck than my own this year. Patriot lighting fans continue to burn out but I can't return it for what I paid for it because Ive already returned it 5 times so had to take sale price. And today drove my truck 60 miles to get a door that website said they have 4 of just to find out yet again their inventory was incorrect. Waste of a trip and my time.

I was shopping for a miter saw. An associate named Gale stopped asking if I had questions or needed help. I did have a question she didn’t have the answer to but she looked it up on her phone. Then I realized I’d need a much larger cart to carry the item to the checkout. Gale offered to grab one for me and took care of the small cart. Awesome customer service experience. Thank you again Gale. While leaving the store another associate named Katie asked if I’d need help loading my purchases. While I didn’t I did appreciate the offer. Overall a great experience today

They tend to have the best prices for many products, some you wouldn't expect like cat litter and a few kinds of food like bubblers drink (less expensive than the grocery store by two bucks a six pack) -- and that's before their infamous rebate program, that while clearly a gimmick to get you back in their store isn't a bad deal either.

Menards genuinely has great prices but you might have to put in a little bit more of your time to guarantee you get the best deal and the quality you paid for. In other words be prepared to return anything that isn't up to par. They're very good at taking returns, so don't hesitate.

Not exactly happy today. My back, lungs and knees are severely damaged. The Baxter Menards has only 2 handicapped scooters. I rely on these scooters to do my shopping. I can't afford a vehicle that allows for a scooter, let alone the price of the scooter. Just before I got to the scooter area a handicapped grandma took one - no problem but her very well grandchildren took the other for a toy.
I was absolutely in intense pain when I got back to my truck. I only needed a GFI power strip - did get it but not wirhout great discomfort. Menards staff shouldn't have permitted this.

We ordered a generator and customer service helped us ,we ordered an extra transfer switch which it came with and felt like they should have known this
.had to pay the 25% restocking fee of over 200 dollars there reply was they are only there to assist but your responsibility to check yourself on what it comes with. They take no responsibility for anything. We also ordered a garage door which ended up being a piece of crap spend over 800 dollars 1 year later to have everything replaced.

Purchased a washer/dryer from Menards in Baxter, door on dryer was broken so tried to return it but it was past 7 days, it was day 8 so I couldn’t return it, they told me to go through Maytag, 2 months in and no help from anyone. Bottom line is don’t purchase appliances from Menards because if there is a problem you are on your own, you will get no help other than them saying they are sorry.
