I’m visited the store to browse the D&D book collection Games by James had, hoping to find something that peaked my interest. While doing so an employee, I believed whose name was Ian, walked up and helped me decide from the selection. I loved that I didn’t even have to ask for help, and I loved even more the advice he provided. I ended up walking away satisfied with a Xanathar’s Guide to Everything.

A great place to get a newborn game, cards, game pieces or anything else you need! Need! It's a smaller store but they have quite a bit to offer.

Not a review related to the business. I went to the Mall of America to take my girlfriend shopping for the day. She had just put down her childhood dog. I wanted to get her out of the house to distract her from life.I had went to the restroom as soon as I got to the mall. I had a freak accident where I cut myself on a piece of metal by the air dryers. My hand was gushing blood and I had access to no paper towel.One of your employee’s was in the restroom and offered me to come to the store to get gauze and bandaids. The bleeding didn’t stop, but thankfully this held me over while I was able to be seen by the urgent care in the mall. I received a few stitches for my wound.His small act of kindness made an impact on my day and his care to make sure I got help. I will now support your business and give recommendations as I see fit.I owe whoever that was a thank you! Keep being a good human and your help was greatly appreciated!

Cool store, awesome games that I have never seen before. Staff did not engage with customers so I chose not to buy anything but other people in my group were happy with their purchases.

If you love board gaming, you came to the right place. I've only visited the Games by James at the Mall of America, so this is the one I'm reviewing here. Not the largest store, but solidly packed with whatever you need to satisfy those n*** cravings. In a fantastic location, visible from multiple floors, with an enticing window display and inviting wide open entryway, they totally nailed the layout. Despite the compact nature of this beast, traffic flow is excellent, with the service desk exactly where it should be. I don't really have any criticisms whatsoever. Even the pricing is what you would expect, given the general expense of not only the product, but where this particular store is located. My wife certainly fears the worst whenever I go here, which is practically every time I visit the Mall of America. I only fall short of giving a five star review in comparison, because I am so very fortunate to have The Gamers Den (Cambridge) in my area, a far bigger store in terms of floor space, independantly owned by wonderful folks who truly love the hobby and genuinely appreciate their community of customers. So, if you're reading this review, I absolutely recommend you check them out too. Superb.

Lots of fun games inside, cashier was a lil impatient with me and had a bit of a rude tone while I was paying. Maybe because it was a bit busy but either way it was a bit rude.

Lots of cool boardgames. Staff is very knowledgeable in what you may be looking for. Cool custom chess sets too. If the selection of games and incredible staff hasn't won you over, I can't help ya.

Was looking for casino themed games which they were helpful with, but what really won me over was how insanely amazing, helpful and friendly with helping me figure out a game with the most OBSCURE description I was able to give....and they figured it out for me!!! They didn't need to indulge me in trying to guess it (I had played it but didn't know the name) as well as finding it for me! (not in production anymore, but the one salesperson found it for me on ebay)

Went here with the kiddo after getting our Covid shot. The store is nice if your a serious board game player but not for your average player. Store is small but it is at the mall of America so... ps: I don't like the mall of America. Biggest downfall was they didn't honor my yelp coupon for a free fidget spinner so if you have one from yelp they will not honor it. I asked both employees and they said they don't have any yelp coupons even though it says to ask the cashier. Probably won't be back, don't like the mall and more items to select online.
