Jordan and Matt at this location were absolutely phenomenal! Jordan was so very friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in the door, I have never experienced such wonderful customer service at a U-Haul location, they both went out of their way to make sure we had absolutely everything we needed for our truck rental!
The pickup process was super fast and very easy! I highly recommend both of these guys to get a raise because they so deserve it!

Pick up and drop off was easy. My only complaint is that they have very limited parking for your own vehicle and it’s on street. The van I rented was in a separate parking lot so the walk from where you park your car is pretty long which normally wouldn’t be a big deal but it was 0 degrees outside. Also, the van I rented was so dirty with dirt and salt that I wasn’t able to see out the windows and the side view mirrors so I didn’t feel very safe driving it out of the lot. Had to go find a gas station that had a window cleaner at the pumps (again it was 0 outside so it took a couple of tries to find a place where the window washer fluid was not frozen.

The check out was awesome the guy was friendly and considerate. But the check in was unethical. I returned at 6:50 but receipt shows 7:21 and then was charged for 24 hrs even though I only had it for a few hours. This is the only company that hasn't given a prorated amount for not using it for 24 hrs. Budget might cost a little more but will actually give you money back if you don't use it for the full time.

I had a 1-way trailer rental on Nov 15th to Siren/Webster WI (dropped it off at Larry's LP). The 2 gentleman working there had me checked out and hooked up in under 15 minutes. Very friendly staff, the trailer was clean and in good working order. Thanks for an easy move!

They pump propane about 30% of the time. It would be nice if they answered the phone when you called before showing up. According to their sales associate, the phone “doesn’t work half the time.” Unfortunately this is consistent across all uhauls.

1. The first truck they gave me, for a one way long distance reservation, was not checked out before assigning it to me. The check engine light was on. There is no quality control at this location.
2. When I went back to let them know, the lady (different person than the one who made the first assignment) kept trying to convince me that they see this all the time and it was no issue. She was not willing to give me a different truck until I put my foot down. She did not know how to change out the truck in the system and after 30 minutes I finally had a truck. After assigning me the truck, she would not bring the truck out front and made me walk across the street into their storage facility to find the truck (where there must have been about 50 + trucks parked). By the time I picked up the truck she disappeared and there was no one to help me. The new truck had a frozen side mirror that I could not move, and again, there was no one able to help me. The inside was dirty and not cleaned.
It was a horrendous experience and will never go back to this facility and am contemplating if I should even go back to U-Haul ever again.
The only saving grace on this trip was the fantastic customer service I received when I dropped off the truck in Chicago.
