On Thursday the 28th of August , I attempted to purchase a cases of water at Menards. The shelf was clearly labeled with a price of $2.97, but at checkout it rang up as $7.98. When I raised the issue, both managers and the general manager refused to honor
the displayed price. I waited nearly 20 minutes for an answer, and they gave conflicting explanations — first
saying it was the wrong item, then that it was listed under a different SKU. However, the shelf tag I photographed had no SKU number at all, and I also took a video showing that the item next to it had its own separate sale price. Despite this evidence,
management dismissed my concern and would not correct the misleading price. I did not purchase the item because the store would not honor the advertised price. This experience reflects deceptive pricing practices and poor customer service, and I am requesting that Menards ensure accurate labeling and accountability to prevent this from happening to other customers. Instead of resolving the issue, the managers called other associates over who stood
nearby, watching me as if I was going to cause a scene when I was only taking a photo of the $7.98 price at checkout, this is after one of the managers told me the general manager was too busy to assist
further. I felt dismissed, disrespected, and misled

Beware of where you park. I had items stolen from my cart in the back of the lot. Camera coverage apparently is not good there...

I shop at Menards a lot, so I know many of the staff and cashiers. Honestly, they’re the highlight of the store. Always friendly, always quick to greet you, and they make the shopping experience a positive one every time.
The downside? Whoever decided to add that divider between entrances and exits clearly didn’t think about customer flow. The parking lot runs north to south, but now if you park on the north side, you have to walk all the way to the south just to enter. Even worse, after checkout, you can’t just leave through the door closest to where you parked — you’re forced out the other way and end up making a long trek across the lot.
This isn’t about “safety” or “traffic flow” — the store doesn’t have that kind of crowd. They’ve got 13+ registers, but I’ve never seen more than 2 or 3 open. The divider feels more like control than convenience.
I’ve talked to other regulars, and it’s a common complaint. If the parking lot was all north or all south, maybe it would make sense. But splitting customers like this? Not exactly customer-friendly.
That said, the staff themselves really are outstanding. They do their best to make the visit enjoyable, and that’s what keeps me coming back despite the layout frustrations.

I love going to Menards because there’s always a manager there with the greatest smile. Her smile so radiant. She’s the front manger PA. No matter what she stand in front of her desk and smile greeting her customers. Great staff Menards has.

I feel sorry for the cashiers. I literally waited and see that Hispanic manager behind the desk acting like she’s doing something annoying her cashiers. She took so long that I ended up telling the cashier it’s ok I don’t need the item. When I walked towards the exit I see her on her phone texting. What poor manager Menards have.

Brooklyn park we asked for help and we got a manager in the front to help translate. She didn’t want to help and she literally sounded lazy like not wanting to speak in Spanish to help us. I believe her name is Giselle. But I’m very thankful we found someone in the flooring who actually wanted to help us and went beyond. We got our flooring and some other stuff he helped us. His name is yonathan, very great service. They need more people like him.

I special ordered a three step egress ladder at this Menards - it took two weeks to ship, and when it arrived, it was in terrible condition - see photos for yourself.
Two people at the store said that I could return it and not be charged at 25% restocking fee, they called it terrible condition. However, when Tess, the general manager, came over she told me that they all look like this, and that it's not that bad; see photos again - literally missing pieces.
She treated me like a problem and acted like she was doing me a favor by offering in-store credit rather than giving me the money back so I can get it elsewhere cause I needed it the next day.
Do better Tess, some people are/were loyal customers, and this was an unreasonable response to this problem.
I'm a contractor by trade and spend tens of thousands of dollars per year on building supplies, consider that business lost Menards.

Rented me a broken Rug Doctor, made me drive it back same day to get a refund, then not even being able to give me another day at 8 pm for my trouble. The clerks even joked about how this one was sent in for repairs. No testing of equipment sounds like a serious flaw. Wasting my time and money is also a flaw that I will not be dealing with in the future.

I have been in Menards only once and this might be my last time coming to this store. The workers will try to brush you off send you left and right. I have been waiting for an hour with my brother and mother just trying to see if I can replace or repair a broken door cabinet. As soon as we entered the store, the worker on the main door sent us the wrong place. We waited there 15 min nobody there. Then some lady came by told us we were in the wrong place. Then we walked around looking for assistance the store seemed abandoned. Not a single worker can be seen. We asked a worker that didn’t even bother to stop and look at us and he pointed at a location that’s is not even the right place. Luckily we find the cabinet areas and a worker helping someone . The worker asked us to wait and we have been waiting for almost 15 min there. My brother and my mom couldn’t handle how long we been in the store so we decided to live. Just to find out on our way out that the door
cabinet can’t be repaired or fixed. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Always the best experience. Went to buy a vacuum. They had multiple options and cheaper than other places I shopped.

Yesterday I witnessed a woman (the general manager of this store) publicly yelling, humiliating and kicking a male customer out of the store. This man purchased Jeld Wen windows from Menards that Menards sold to this man illegally (according to Minnesota law)! Instead of protecting the buyer’s rights and helping to understand the situation, this store kicked out this buyer with obscenities! Definitely not worth coming here for shopping!

I want to start by saying that we come here often, and in general have gotten great service, and like the products. There’s one issue I can’t shake. There’s an employee in Millwork, short white hair. She’s more in the windows/doors side. She has never been helpful, and the last time I went in, she was unhelpful, rude, and wrong. I went to another Menards and got the product she swore up and down they had never carried (even though my SO literally bought them at the BP store the week before). So, perhaps seek out another worker in that department. I’m a former Menards (different location) and long time retail worker giving this review.
