We have been to three other vets with our sweet Rottie and had situations arise at each one that we felt we weren't being spoken to honestly or that they weren't being upfront about costs. As soon as I walked into North Paws I could tell this clinic was different. From their cozy decor to the smiling faces at the front desk everyone was friendly and welcoming. Dr. Riggs was caring and very informative. Not only that she gave us the best tips and an after care summary that was extremely helpful and something no other vet had done. “To put it simply, all the staff at the Rum River Vet Clinic care. They are some of the most compassionate, knowledgeable, and empathetic people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Our cat, Sadie has a chronic illness and bad luck - something always seems to come up, but the veterinary team, are beyond helpful and supportive. Every aspect of our experiences at this clinic have been exceptional. The front desk staff are always warm and inviting, the vet techs are caring and competent. Dr. Angle and Dr. Kuebelbeck (the two veterinarians we’ve had the most contact with) are phenomenal! Not once have we felt rushed during a visit or when calling for advice. We always feel like our pet’s concerns are heard, validated, and addressed fully. The whole clinic team has repeatedly gone above and beyond to provide the highest quality care to us and our pet, Sadie. We are very lucky our community has this clinic! “I was so grateful we were able to get our bengal cat because someone else had canceled. She had been really sick for 3 days. She was so lethargic I thought she was dying. They were able to diagnose her bladder infection in a timely manner. Prices comparable to our normal vet.Previously in the week we had taken her to an emergency vet. “It’s been years since I have been here, but I came in recently with my chinchilla for a second opinion as her condition was worsening & Dr. Amanda was so kind, caring and helpful during our exam. The CVT and front desk staff were also so kind with us.My chinchilla was drooling, favoring one side while eating and overall looked worrisome, and she wasn’t responding to previous treatments from a different vet, and Dr. Amanda confirmed my worry of dental issues and contacted another vet for me, who she knows has more experience in chinchilla dentals for another exam and for us to make a treatment plan with this other vet depending on what this other vet finds (thank you for being so open and honest).While our third visit with this other specialist didn’t have a good outcome, I’m thankful we were referred to them.I can’t thank Dr. Amanda enough for her empathy, kindness and honesty.”

“My poor girl came in for shots and a coggins and on the way she ended up cutting her head open. Staff were really nice and helpful. They were able to get her all fixed up at the time as well! This was my first time here i highly suggest them!”
