“Where to start.
The people, are amazing. From the owners to the bar tenders to the plow drivers just absolutely amazing, we see you! They definitely take care of you and make you feel welcome. We come every ice season and practically live in our fish house so we now have the privilege to call them friends. Let’s see, oh the merch!!!! Always cozy comfy clothes I swear I have 10 new shirts n hats 😉. The bars super cozy and have a fireplace my favorite! Please do yourself a favor and give them your business you can thank me later.”

“Northland is a great family spot. The owners, Mike and Pat strive to make your stay as enjoyable as they can. Mondays are family pot luck in the lounge and it is a great time of fellowship.”

“Had a great time caught ton of northern. Pam and Gary were great. Our boat went down our second day into the trip and they let us use their boat which was a life saver. Pam brought us deserts she made all the time and made us feel as we were apart of the family . Definitely will be back !”

“Having grown up in the area, the legends loom large about the historic camp on the shores of one of our region's favorite lakes. These days, Camp Hiawatha is more than just a summer camp; it’s a, event space and wedding venue where stories unfold and memories are etched into the hearts of all who gather. As you stroll through this idyllic setting, each path tells a tale of adventure, each cabin holds echoes of laughter, and the lake reflects the endless possibilities of love. Having photographed weddings there, I can confirm that it is a perfectly unique venue for anyone looking to get married in the woods of Northern Minnesota.

Choosing Camp Hiawatha as your wedding venue opens up a world where the charm of rustic living meets the elegance of heartfelt nuptials. The camp offers a variety of settings to suit any wedding vision. Perhaps you’ll exchange vows at the waterfront, the gentle sounds of Deer Lake providing a serene soundtrack, or under the majestic pines, where the whispers of the forest breathe life into your commitment. Maybe you will say “I do” within the sanctuary of the sweet, sentimental chapel. You might even have a cocktail hour and dance on the dock under the stars as a bonfire roars and lives on behind you.

Whatever you do, you cannot do it wrong in choosing Camp Hiawatha as a wedding venue.”

“Not a bad place. Has electric plugs on the poles to charge batteries. Has a fish cleaning house outback which is always nice to have at the end of the day. We parked our boat right out front where you could keep an eye on it from your room. We backed the boat on the front lawn and the vehicle in a parking spot. Convenient for keeping an eye on your equipment. Good morning self-serve breakfast is not too bad. Saves from having to go buy sum breakfast somewhere else. The rooms could use a little better cleaning. But definitely good enough for a bunch of fishermen. Very nice staff at the front desk.”
