Spent $2,800 on the camp. Found out the owner died a few weeks later and the camp acted like I didn’t exist after asking for a refund.

What a week. Brought my seven year old and nine year old for mite skilled camp. They didn't need me by the end of the week. We hit their amazing lake access ever day. Everyone wore life jackets and staff was always watching. The water was perfect for the heat. We did the s'mores and fire at night. Ran by super friendly staff. The concession stand staff was so nice. They made me laugh everyday. Three hours a day on the ice and I didn't need to do private coaching this year but will next year. My kids just started the game of hockey and were overwhelmed at the beginning of camp but the coaches took very good care of them. The coaches realized right away that they could skate but didn't have a firm grasp or knowledge of hockey. The other players were light years ahead of them but the other parents were so kind. By the end of the week the power shots forehand and back hand were as good as any of them. Gave my kids a lot to work on this summer to be ready for winter hockey. The camp brought in some amazing athletes from all over the country. The coaches were so good with the kids and really cared for them. I would totally leave them with the coaches if my kids wanted to next year. The room were college dorms and next year we will shoot for apartments or cabins to get our own showers. The food was fine. I lost a little weight because I needed to. You could have second or thirds of food if you wanted. The staff taught the kids to be respectful and not be entitled little dictators. It was refreshing. They gave my kids the love for hockey and new friends to write to in many different states. I love this camp and will be returning as many times as possible.

Former Deerwoid Devil great time living up in Minnesota for two years. Steve is intense but you need that in hockey and life. Now the owner of MicucciGoalieSchool for over 27 years and Hockey Director for St Francis Prep those years with Steve and up in Deerwood turned me into a young man quickly.

I’m sitting in bed at 42 years old. I start thinking about hockey camp I went to 30 years ago and how great of a time I had there so I looked it up and here I am. A lot of good memories from this place.

Unaccommodating and unprofessional staff who I would NOT send my kid to be left with for a week

My Pee-Wee hockey player attended the Hockey & Adventure Camp in June 2021. He had an amazing time. We couldn't be happier with the experience that Heartland provided for him.

My daughter has attended several camps in past years, and this year we even brought her hockey friend to stay in Studio room with us. Everybody greatly enjoyed the camp, the food and all the activities. When camp options were limited last year we received credits that we were able to spend on personal training instead. We are already planning our visit for next year.
