“I have been an artist since childhood, so when I find a gem of an art materials store I am absolutely in heaven. Blicks, offers this and so much more. They have all types of materials- from all kinds of paints, chalk, paint markers, pastels, all types of tools for mediums and tons of different options for brands. Highly recommend this shop for your art material needs. They also have adorable cards, little funny gifts and so on. They even have a student discount (score!). Go check it out! Oh and the staff are all very friendly and happy to help!”
“A great game store!!! The staff is always super friendly, the have a great selection and are always supporting the local community. Our permanent stop when we are in the cities.”
“My brother referred me, after his recent successful visit. Jay was most kind & knowledgeable, giving me good advice on coins I inherited from my father. Instead of these silver coins sitting forever in a drawer, I now have some welcomed bills in my pocket. Highly recommend American Rare Coin and Collectibles!”
“i really like this place overall. they don't really ever have sealed pokemon product in stock, but that doesn't surprise me considering the foot traffic, proximity to downtown, etc. etc. i registered for an event later this summer that i'm really excited for. it seems like this place fosters a good community as far as gamers go. my experience with staff heavily depends on who is working and how busy the store itself is, which i am sympathetic to. the store is also very well organized and offers a small selection of snacks and drinks at fair prices.”
“This is the first time I have worked with Display Sales and they are awesome! Ryan Wideman and his team made sure we got exactly what we were looking for. I highly recommend!”
“Please place has everything you are looking for. I personally wasn’t expecting it to be that great. Visited this place with plenty of money or a credit hard with a high balance. Staff is very friendly”
“We had great experience with Chelly. My father passed away a few years ago and I inherited his mass coin collection. As I am not rehearsed in coin collecting I was not sure how to handle these coins. I found Midwest Coin and saw the excellent reviews and reached out. So glad I did! Chelly was very knowledgeable and explained everything as she went through the collection. We felt very fairly treated. I recommend Midwest Coin to everyone looking for a great, fair and learning experience. Thanks, Chelly!”
“I went to this store for the first time this weekend and had a wonderful experience. Their collection is beautiful and I got a few amazing pieces, some stromatolite quarzazate, amber, and a few smaller purchases. Highly recommend if you love crystals and fossils!”
“Great Lakes Coins and Collectibles has restored my belief that there must be a gold buyer out there somewhere who actually treats the customer with respect and a welcoming environment, while offering extremely fair pricing for the gold jewelry brought in to their shop. I have seen my share of estate and gold buyers who shamelessly throw out ridiculous low-ball offers with the warning that you will never see a better offer.
So walking in to Great Lakes today was a breath of fresh air and a very pleasant surprise. These people are the real deal. They paid me a very fair price on the spot, no haggling, and I was happy to accept their offer. I will be back to do more business with them again soon.
Go see them. You will be so glad that you did!”
“Mind’s Eye Comics is amazing! The owner Eric is super helpful and a wealth of information. The shop also has an awesome selection dvds and unique gift selections for the comic lover in your life! Highly recommend”
“Great service and cool store — Brought 2 fountains pens I had inherited, tried to fix but couldn’t get working quite right. He got me sorted in about 5 minutes, checked one pen gratis, and was able to find a part to get the second working while I waited.
Many nice fountain pens for sale, and also buys and sells coins. Highly recommend.”
“Just had a great experience with everyone at Fan HQ. Transaction originated online via ebay, and ended with me picking up several additional items in person at the store in the Ridgedale Center. Will be back again, most definitely!”
“Expect to spend hours in here! Sooo many funny things! Enjoy all my photos, I took more than 50, but that's all Googly allows! We were here Tues, 7/21/26. Love this store, and the awesome employees!”
“Sweets is my go to when it comes to kendamas. I ordered online and left a note asking if they could give me a well balanced kendama for the one I was ordering and they did! They left me the specs of the dama on my packing slip and gave me some candy too! Shout out to the sweets team for spreading the love really do appreciate it!”
“Good process for dropping off trades and fair value on store credit. My one knock was how hard it was to track down in the labyrinthine basement of this big industrial building.”
“My young teen LOVED this place when we stumbled inside during Art-a-Whirl. Unique focus on military history with custom builds, art, and supplies geared towards that theme. Supremely nice staff who show as much care and respect to a 13 yo spending $10 as a 30 yo spending $100. A very welcoming space for Lego brick enthusiasts with a bent towards lifelike military builds.”
“Rob is knowledgable, helpful, and more than fair. Gave me a great price for my vintage cards, and make the whole process enjoyable. Enjoyed the time I spent in the shop and would definitely do business here again. Cannot recommend highly enough.”
“I had an excellent experience selling gold coins to Minnesota Gold and Silver Exchange.
*I have continued to sell gold and silver here because they are so honest unlike many of their competitors. Greg stands behind his word and impresses me as a man of integrity.”
“I had two packs of scrapbook paper and two scrapbooks that I had for a while and I ended up not using them and Its been tight on money and I was not expecting them to be able to return. I did not have my receiptI was thinking maybe for a store credit would happen but they were absolutely wonderful and they gave me my money back. I am so thankful and appreciative. I want to say his name was Jason. You have no idea how much you’ve helped me. Thank you.”
“A great little hobby store! The two gentlemen were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They were very busy trying to help multiple people at one time while I was there and continued to be both attentive and courteous to everyone. I am glad I found this store and I will be back. They also have some airplane stuff which I was delighted to find!”
“Great place. I have always wanted something from arms and armor and I happened to be working in the area. I saw that they had a spear and javelin in stock so I asked if I could pick it up in person to avoid shipping. They of course said yes and so I I went in person to buy a spear and javelin.... I was not expecting a tour of the workshop and all the different things that they have experimented with over the years. It was truly fantastic... and they happened to have a sword for sale right then. I happened to come in during their preparations for a ren faire so I also had the privilege of buying a sword. I bought 4 items a knightly riding sword, a celtic spear, greek javelin, and regular javelin. Every one is fantastic. Their quality is second to none. I have a lot of swords and I am very picky when it comes to blades. I can recommend anything they make without reservation. Truly hand made by professional blade smiths.”
“I had such a pleasant experience at this shop. It was my first time selling coins and the gentleman I worked with was very helpful and kind. Service was fast, straight forward, and payment was reasonable.”
“They had some cool fun gadgets here at Games By James such as Lava Lamps, Balls that change color when you throw them in the air, stuffed animals, 3d puzzles, and more.”
“Cool store. Smaller collection but some nice silver rounds and very cool pens and other collectibles. He took the time to chat with me and explain some things including the frenzy in the metals markets. Very low premiums over spot as well. I’ll be back. Thanks!”
“Games by James is legit. These days, I find myself struggling to coordinate the people and time to play games like I used to. But in this store, I was inspired.
Time will tell if it comes to fruition, but seeing a collection that is passionate, complete, and inviting reminds me of how much fun it is to be into board games.
They've got staples: party games, dice games, card games, classics. But where they really shine are the local games and modern board games. They have something for everyone, from simple to learn ones to games that become all day events.
And that's the fun of games: someone has made a game for your exact taste. And the guys working in here know how to help you find it.”
“This is our local card and comic shop. Every time we walk in, we are greeted by welcoming people! The staff has always been friendly and helpful.
Comics: The new comics section is great, but other shops do have larger sections. I haven't had an issue getting the books I want. If you sign up for their free subscription plan for new comics you get 10% off! I hope they start keeping back issues at this location. They have had them on special occasions but not like the other locations. Me and my girlfriend love looking through dollar boxes and discount bins when we are looking for new stories to read. If possible, please do more back issues!!! :)
Trading Cards: Their trading card section like every other game store is always running low. They carry pretty much all your big games (Pokemon, MTG, One Piece, Lorcana, Yugioh, ect) as well as smaller games. The prices however are all over the place. We have picked up Pokemon and One Piece at retail prices, but sometimes they are over market. They aren't always that way, so I am curious how they price their sealed products. I haven't played MTG in a while and was curious about a bundle they had it seemed a bit high to me, and I looked it up on TCG Player when I got home and it was well over market price. I am not complaining because this is how every store operates nowadays and everybody wants the product! Can't be mad at it.
Overall, the store is great and the people are nice. If they could expand their comic sections and add back issues, we would spend more money here!”
“Absolute has an organized selection of singles on display along with a variety of boxes and packs for sale. The crew is very knowledgeable and are great to chat with. I highly recommend stopping by!”
“First time here to use a gift certificate. Great place to shop for comics and anything that is table top related. The young woman at the front was super helpful and kind. Thanks for a great experience 👍 😀 😊!”

“Shops on the smaller side. They do their events at the nearby food court which was confusing. We called ahead for them to let them know we were running late, but due to the added confusion of the mall, arrived later than expected and they ended up starting without us. Not anyones fault, but could have been better handled all around. I'll probably go elsewhere for future events.”
