Aspen Lodge is in a perfect location for snowmobilers, with excellent walkability for Grand Marais and awesome trails. It offers good value for the area. The rooms are clean, though some are on the older side with dated decor. Some guests found the beds comfortable and clean, while others felt the mattresses were too soft and springy. A notable issue was that the water and hot tub were often not very hot or warm, and sometimes not working. The pool, sauna, and hot tub area closes early and opens late. Parking is very limited and tight, especially for trucks with snowmobile trailers. The front desk staff received praise for being wonderful, helpful, and accommodating, though the overnight staff was noted as unfriendly and the desk sometimes unstaffed.
Perfect location for snowmobilers. 2 reasons it only gets 4 stars: The hot tub isn't very hot. It's warm. And parking for trucks with snowmobile trailers is tight.

Clean rooms, most of the plug ins didn't work for my cpap. Over night staff very unfriendly. Snowmobile truck traler parking was not good. But the trals were awesome!!!! Jasmine helped me book my rooms she was amazing, very friendly!

This is a cute little place. We stayed in the smaller building, but it was perfect for us. Beds are comfy and clean, room was clean.
