Grand Portage State Park offers an absolutely incredible waterfall that thunders on a short hike. The easy path leads to a 120‑ft High Falls, with scenic views of the Pigeon River and Canada. Visitors enjoy a friendly staff and an informative visitor center. The park has a wide variety of trails, including a handicap‑paved path to the viewing platform. Waving at Canadians across the border is a highlight. A short .5‑mile walk to the falls is well worth the paved hike. Nearby is the Grand Portage National Monument, where period‑dressed docents guide visitors through old buildings and a wooden canoe building.
The high waterfall is spectacular and a must see! Easy paved walkway .5 mile
