“Duluth Pottery offers original works of art (mostly functional, but some just plain gorgeous). I visit periodically for gifts--my mother pretty much only wants to drink out of her Forget-Me-Not mug. Yesterday I came in for the annual mother mug. It slipped out of my hands at the next stop and shattered on tiled floors. I was (and still am) absolutely devastated about it. I decided to try to go back and see if there was a way to repair it (there definitely was NOT...) but the person at the register who helped me was extraordinarily kind and showed me grace during my public breakdown over broken pottery. We found a suitable replacement, purchased it, and went on our way with many well-wishes. If words could mend broken hearts (and mugs), this person could probably save the world. I love the pottery, but the people at Duluth Pottery are even better. Thank you.”
“Fantastic, fun, original clothes! I bought a Levi Jean jacket with a beautiful birch tree setting painted on the back. Gorgeous. Taking it home to Hermosa Beach, California where all my friends will be wanting one as well. And the sales person was so very nice. All sorts of interesting clothes and jewelry in this shop. I'll be back on my next visit.”

“Well organized, but some areas are congested and overwhelming. Prices are fair, but I always seem to hit the store on the off rotation. The items I am looking for are not on sale.”
“We went here to purchase 4 chairs. We left with 2 and couldn't be happier! Russ was the salesman working with us. He was so friendly and welcoming and accommodating. He let us know right away what sales were going on and what he had in stock or when he could get it in stock at a later date. We got to bring home two chairs and ordered two more. We looked at 4 other stores and this one was THE BEST by far. Not only was there an incredible sale going on. But the two chairs we ordered would be delivered for 1/4 of the cost that Slumberland would have the exact same chairs delivered. AND we got the EXACT same chairs for about 3/4 of the cost than at Slumberland. 10/10 will be coming back.”
“I can’t stress how pleasant of an experience it was to shop with these folks! Stressing about getting the perfect perfect souvenir for my wife before my flight home, I was disappointed that every gift shop I entered, seem to be the same merchandise from shop to shop. Not the case with Northwoods at all! I was able to find a gift that seemed to fit perfectly, I reached out to my youngest daughter to get her feedback and she was impressed as well. If your gift shopping in Duluth, this is where you should go first.”

“This store is somewhat out of the way, not in the main shopping area of Duluth, kind of a run down area. Street parking only. Inside is a good assortment of vendors with varied goods. The layout was a bit difficult to follow but worth the effort to see what all vendors had to offer. Prices were fair on what I looked at. Staff was very friendly.”
“This location has a decent amount of fabric and a really nice staff. They’ve all been very helpful and pleasant. It’s one of the better Joann fabrics that I’ve gone to.”
