“I've been to the Thunderbird Resort restaurant many, many times and it's always excellent! Friendly service, great food, and an atmosphere that can't be beat. Steve and the new owner group have done a great job! The bar crew hit it out of the park. If you like walleye, you have to try the parmesan crusted walleye fillet. It will blow your mind!

Food and drinks: The parmesan crusted walleye is awesome, especially for breakfast. Homemade bread with dinners! Excellent Bloody Mary's.”

“Really nice property. Room was clean and recently renovated. Great lakefront balcony with the room. We had some questions about fishing opportunities and boat rentals in the area. Vir at the front desk was very friendly, kind and helpful. Thank you Vir!”
“Motel is very clean and has an amazing view! Staff is very friendly and helpful, you can tell they take pride in their jobs.
My only suggestion is that the mini fridge be a bit bigger, but otherwise the room was great. I think more chairs outside of the rooms for all guests to enjoy would be a good investment for this motel as well.

“A month ago, we stayed here on our way to a fishing trip because we stayed here before and it was good. We got there and the doors were locked, so we would have to call a number on the door. Our phones said "couldn't call because it was an international number, so we had to get ahold of someone back home to call the number. Happily, the manager was nice enough to come to the hotel and check us in, which we found out the lobby wasn't open during evenings at this time due to staffing shortages, which I do understand. But other than that, it was still a good experience this time, and I do recommend. Nothing fancy, but something to get you through the night when crossing the border for a fishing trip.”

“This is one of the best resorts I've ever been to. They have a fish fry every week and there is really good fishing in between the docs. They even have boats you can barrow. The cabins are really clean and nice. Great owners too!”
