“My wife's car was having brake issues with the caliper locking up. I had replaced the caliper twice , so I knew it was an issue for someone above my pay grade. We took it to Hoff Auto Repair the next morning - no call ahead and never having been there before. Explained the problem, dropped off the vehicle. I got a call back around 12:00 explaining what the problem was with a full explanation of what needed to be replaced (rubber brake lines) along with what probably should be replaced (rotor that had been heated to magma temp while driving with a stuck caliper). Told him to go ahead and replace everything. Got the call then at 3:15 that it was ready to go. All of this for less than $500. This is our new shop for things I'm not capable or smart enough to do myself. Very impressed!”

“I took my car in for an oil pressure sensor replacement. I picked it up and my floor mats were very dirty and greasy. I had to hand scrub them. They topped things off, but filled my tires up to almost 40 lbs! My cars tires only require 32. I took my car to Kwik Trip to let some air out. I let it go. After a week, I noticed oil in large spots on my garage floor. I took it back right away. They used an after market sensor initially and replaced it with the recommended GM part. My floor mats were again dirty. I asked the man if it was practice to use floor protectors, he said no. I suggested that they start making it a practice as no one wants to have yet another thing to do by having to clean them! My tire pressure was where it was supposed to be. I tend to let a lot of small things go as I am not a not picker. I wish mechanics would take more care in being knowledgeable in each car’s unique needs. After market is typically ok, but all cars like mine must have OEM parts or it just doesn’t work properly! Instead so many take the chance and in this case, it probably cost them money because they tried to be cheap. It’s not worth it. They did not charge me extra, which I am great full for, but let’s do our jobs right in the first place!!! Time will tell if this solves the problem with the OEM part. Update: I have not had any issues what so ever with the oil sensor replacement part. Still holding strong!! Thank you!! :)”
