“This place is great. The staff are friendly. However the wait is incredibly frustrating. The last few times I have been here I am waiting a long time and so is my pet. I had a 4:00pm appointment and I didn't get to leave until 7:00pm. They don't examine your pet in the examination room with you. They took my pet in the back and let her sit back there for 30 minutes before someone examined her and came back to me to discuss what they would like to do. They work on other pets while yours is not being worked on. Other people's dogs were getting treated and they left way before me. I was the last one to leave the clinic. I don't understand why I'm waiting 3 hours when I had an appointment for a guinea pig. A large dog would take longer than a guinea pig. I can understand if there is only one vet and are short staffed but it would be nice to know that ahead of time so I can bring food and water for her. Thats the only reason I docked a star. Otherwise I do like this place. It's happened to me a few times now though. I am not complaining im just writing an honest review so others might see the long wait before you're taking your pet home. Be prepared for long wait and bring a charger, book and food and water for your pet.”
“From making an appointment to the conclusion of our visit, I had contact with 6 or 7 different Rivertown associates- from front desk to Michelle and Dr Decker - each one was friendly, kind, interested, sincere - 10 out of 10 each and every one. The facility is beautiful and sparkling clean. Highest recommendation for your furry friends”

“We were considering switching vets and tried this office. Vet was super thorough and friendly. I really enjoyed the amount and of time the vet spent with our pet and the in depth exam. Office seemed spot on, but unfortunately an email was sent out a week later increasing fees things as simple as filling prescription (in addition to the prescription cost themselves) so we decided to not go back. Too many businesses these days are using fees for everything to gain (I say this as a business owner) and it is just not something that fits in my values, especially the general cost of vaccines, care, etc for a pet. If fees for everything don’t bother you- I definitely recommend this vet’s office.”
“Hands down Dr. Eric and entire staff are the best we could have! They go WAY above and beyond to help our pets (we have dogs) and find ways to aid. Eric researches all corners for help, staff is always on top of checking in on us and the entire office is A+++!!!”

Dr. Butler is so very kind, knowledgeable and did a great job at explaining to us the situation with our 2 year old puppy. She made it a lot easier for us to understand and accept it. I would recommend this vet clinic as all the staff are very kind and helpful. Thank you so much! -Cherry and Jinx

Dr. Butler performed Jinx’s euthanasia this week and it went as well as it could go when losing your pet. She was very comforting to us during that process, explaining everything as she was doing it, and warm and kind. Thank you so much for being there for Jinx in the last chapter of her life and for being a wonderful clinic.”

I took my little dog there this past weekend after he had some tummy issues. The entire staff was so kind. The person staffing the front desk and the vet tech (I am so sorry I do not have their names!) were so incredibly pleasant and calming. Our vet, Dr. Farmer, was very friendly and personable. He gave us a great treatment plan at a VERY reasonable price.
Dr. Farmer and the staff made a scary situation much more pleasant. We were nervous to visit a new vet over a holiday weekend, but I am so glad that we found Hillcrest!”
